Osoba i przesłanie św. Teresy od Jezusa
Wrona, Lidia (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II, 2015)
Celebration of the 5th centenary of the birth of St. Teresa of Jesus, the first woman pronounced by the Church the Doctor of the Church, is an occasion for recalling her person and her message. A mystic, a spiritual master, a foundress and author of great doctrinal works is above all the teacher of prayer understood as the relation of friendship. The Carmel’s reform she had started had its source in the experience of God, with the new look at a human person, which followed. St. Teresa of Jesus remains as a faithful and timely witness of truth about God and human person.

Hablar de Dios en “tiempos recios”. Vida y lenguaje en Teresa de Jesús
Marcos, Juan Antonio (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II, 2015)
We develop in the following pages three key notes that characterize Teresian language and spirituality: self-involvement, relevance, and performativity. The human ‘I’ together with the divine presence is involved in Teresian self-involved spirituality. For Teresa, relevance refers to credibility and the significance of what is lived. ‘Performative spirituality’ is that which has the power to transform our lives.

Uniwersalizm grzechu i misja Ducha Świętego... w świetle encykliki św. Jana Pawła II Dominum et Vivificantem
Derdziak, Liubov (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II, 2015)
Sin and its consequences are present in life of every human being. However, the awareness of sin in contemporary world has decreased significantly, both in its individual and social dimensions. That is why this article intends to outline main ideas of the papal teaching about sin and salvific role of the Holy Spirit. Looking into the nature of sin, John Paul II describes it in the light of salvific work of Christ as well as work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of each man and woman. At the core of the sin of crucifixion of Jesus lies rejection of His mission whereas the sin against the Holy Spirit presupposes a radical refusal to be converted and therefore to accept forgiveness offered by God. In this difficult situation the Holy Spirit comes with an offer of the remission of sins. For this action to be successful it is necessary to recognize sin in one’s conscience. That is why the mission of the Holy Spirit consists in convincing of sin, righteousness and judgment. The Pope points out that Jesus Christ’s salvific work encompasses somehow every single human sin. The Holy Spirit reveals in man’s heart economy of God’s love which invites to conversion.

La Trinidad. El Dios experimentado y vivido por Santa Teresa de Jesús
Cuartas Londoño, Rómulo (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II, 2015)
The God with whom Saint Teresa experiments, lives and communicates in her writings is the Trinitarian God, who is present in her life and acts in her from the beginning to the fullness of plenitude. This indicates that the Saint lived a special relation with each one of the Persons of the Holy Trinity, and with the Holy Trinity as a complete unit. The study highlights the life of the Saint from a theologicalbiographical, her doxological existence, and the ordinary experience of feeling herself to be inhabited by the Trinity. Special emphasis is put on the reality of this Trinitarian inhabitation in the ordinary life of the believer, as the testimony of Saint Teresa illuminates it.

    Taniec w dziele nowej ewangelizacji
Pawlus, Kinga (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II, 2015)
The author tries to answer a question if the dance can be a tool for the work of the New Evangelization. Searching for an answer she shows what the role of dance was and refers to the Bible, to history of the Church and to the document of The Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments about dance in the liturgy. The author also indicates examples of dance usage during meetings with young people, e.g. Lednica and World Youth Day.

Wpływ św. Teresy z Ávili na życie duchowe Edyty Stein
Grzegorczyk, Anna (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II, 2015)
In Edith Stein’s works one can find reflections of some of Saint Teresa of Àvila’s ideas. Similarity of their characters can be one clue to explain it, but what’s more important – it is their Carmelite spirituality what makes this resemblance. Close parallel between them both can be seen in matters like concept of true, of wisdom, and the issues of woman. Beside historical distance and all biographical differences, Edith Stein and Saint Teresa of Àvila join into Carmelite tradition through spiritual experience, understanding and expression.

This article addresses one of the most problematic issues in the Christian life: how to combine the spiritual life and the apostolate. At this moment in which the Church raises the new evangelization as its major challenge, the understanding of both dimensions of Christian life needs urgent integration. Teresa of Jesus in her time also suffered this dilemma, which kept her preoccupied during her lifetime. She could not be content being a cloistered nun, she wanted to help Christ in his mission. Teresa helps us discover an “experiential and Evangelical” solution to this dilemma.

È sufficiente il pensiero di essere donna perché mi cadano le ali (V X, 8). Donna in Europa – la rivoluzione femminista di Teresa d’Ávila
Dobner, Cristiana (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II, 2015)
“For the rest, it is enough that I am a woman to make my sails droop”. This meaningful statement of St. Teresa of Jesus reveals, in an excellent way, the mentality typical for her times. Careful reading of the Teresian texts inspires us however to ask the following question: Have her wings really fallen? What does Teresa really mean about a woman, a carmelite woman? The reformer of the Carmel undertook the efforts of the independent and critical thinking. She started the epistemological revolution, which has been continuing through the ages. Today she is considered by the feminist environment of “Diotima” as an exemplary woman. This article presents assumptions of this environment, refers to the issue of Theresa’s language, tries to track the development of the Teresian subculture and her impact on her epoch.
