Pozycja Postawa kontemplacji w opiece paliatywnejBartoszek, Antoni (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2006)The present paper reveals that palliative care, which seeks to care for the terminally ill, is a place where in a special way an attitude of contemplation can and should be adopted. On one hand, it is a purely natural attitude that lies in watching by the bedside of the dying and reflecting on the truth, the good and the beauty of the human spirit experienced by suffering. On the other hand, on the ground of faith, the attitude of contemplation becomes contemplative prayer which leads to a deeper experience of God, which in turn improves the quality of the healthcare service. Suffering, with its purifying power, results in the union with God. In some cases, however, this union is accomplished only after having passed through the dark night of faith that affects mainly the ill, but also palliative care workers. While it is true that hospice workers are not intended to instruct patients how to cope with suffering, it should be noticed that they are morally obliged to join the ill person on his way of suffering and death by contemplative prayer.Pozycja Aelred z Rievaulx – teolog monastycznyGroń, Ryszard (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2006)Aelred of Rievaulx, the monk who lived and worked in the prime time of Cistercian reform, along with the great Bernard of Clairvaux and William of St. Thierry, represents the stream of theology called today “monastic theology” This theology, far from lecture halls with their systematic classes, was cultivated in the shelter of the medieval cloisters by and for the monks in terms of formation. Those who proclaimed this kind of theology were, as a rule, the abbots, whose learning and skills often came from education organized by the Church (the so called: ecclesiastical or cathedral schools) and aided by their own exceptional talent and selfdiscipline. It sometimes happened that erudite scholars converted to the monastic life after their acquisition of knowledge. Aelred belongs to the first group of theologians. As a Cistercian abbot of the twelfth-century Rievaulx monastery, Aelred had the right and obligation to teach ex officio through the means accessible at that time: sermons, formation’ meetings, the so called capitula, treatises about spiritual matters and instructions about the monastic discipline related to the monks and nuns. As a result we have abundant literature which gathers his whole theological achievement, although it does not go beyond the framework of monastic issues. To the three fundamental themes of these issues: soul, love, and monastic discipline, Aelred adds his original teaching about friendship. Pawła, List do Galatów ma szczególne znaczenie, jeśli chodzi o teologię, jak również o historyczne odniesienia do życia Apostoła Narodów. Występuje w nim oryginalne wyrażenie, które dotyczy jego działalności apostolskiej: „Dzieci moje, oto ponownie w bólach was rodzę, aż Chrystus w was się ukształtuje” (4, 19). Przedstawia ono Apostoła jako założyciela i „matkę” wspólnot, które zrodził dla wiary w Chrystusa. Niniejsze opracowanie podejmuje teologiczno-duchową refleksję nad wypowiedzią Apostoła. Po krótkiej prezentacji Listu, która ukazuje okoliczności oraz cel jego powstania, przedstawiony jest kontekst, w jakim występuje omawiany fragment. Pogłębiona analiza Ga 4, 19 pozwala stwierdzić, że w rozumieniu św. Pawła apostolstwo polega na progresywnej chrystyfikacji. Pojmuje on bowiem swoje apostolskie posługiwanie jako akt rodzenia i proces formacji, w którym, wśród cierpień fizycznych i duchowych, komunikuje innym Ewangelię – „Słowo Życia” (Flp 2, 16), dopóty nie będą w pełni uformowani na obraz i podobieństwo Chrystusa.Pozycja Jan Paweł II – mistrz duchowy. Initially, it developed simultaneously and independently of any influence of Polish piety. It existed before the union with the Apostolic See was accepted, a fact testified by material traces of the devotion to the Mother of God in the temples built and equipped in the pre-union period (e.g. the church dedicated to the Mother of God in Lvov in 1351, or in Jazłowiec in 1551). In the later period churches were most often dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady – in Brzeżany, Horodenka, Kuty, Raszków, and Stanisławów. Similarly, the Assumption churches were built by Armenians in Kamieniec Podolski (irretrievably demolished in 1672), in Lvov, in Łysiec, Śniatyń, and in Zamość; moreover, the churches were dedicated to the Visitation of Our Lady (in Mohylew) and the Annunciation in Kamieniec Podolski. The inter-war period made the Polish Churches – Catholic Armenian and Roman Catholic – come closer through common preparations for the coronation in 1937 of the miraculous icon of the Gracious Mother of God in Stanisławów. A similar process is repeated in the most recent history in the pre-coronation period in 1989 (the Mother of God of Łysiec in Gliwice). The study has shown that the knowledge of Divine Mercy, which St. Vincent Pallotti acquired, had played an enormous role in his spiritual life. Therefore he fully deserves to be called a great worshipper and ardent participant in the work of Divine Mercy, and also a prominent master of spiritual mercy.
