Twórczość fortepianowa kompozytorów polskich w latach 2000-2017 na przykładzie wybranych utworów
Łukaszewski, Marcin Tadeusz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
The article deals with Polish piano music composed in the years 2000-2017. In the 21st century, there was an increasing interest of musicians in the piano. Among the hundreds of works written at that time, we can distinguish genres and traditional forms (such as mazurka, toccata, sonata, variations, preludes, etude, nocturnes), as well as other forms and titles. These compositions can be divided into four groups: postmodern current, modernist current, neomodernist current, antimodern current, and hybrid approaches, in which composers use both the twentieth century and former (romantic) compositional techniques. Postmodernism: Krzysztof Baculewski and Andrzej Dziadek, neomodernist current: Paweł Kwapiński, antimodern current: Paweł Michał Chmielnicki, Tomasz Kamieniak, hybrid approaches: Maciej Zieliński and Piotr Gryska. The subject has not yet been elaborated scientifically.

W sprawie środowiskowej ochrony człowieczeństwa człowieka
Łepko, Zbigniew (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
The title of this study contains an appeal for the environmental protection of man’s humanity. It is based on the results of ethological research on civilized humanity and the reflection of practical philosophers of nature. Its main thesis about nature in man and man in nature points both to the nature of man himself and to man’s relationship with nature. According to this approach, man who in his entirety originates from nature, is associated with it to the most subtle layers of his being. This connection is subtly complicated and it reveals itself on the level of the human body, the human psyche and the human spirit. These levels of human existence are, therefore, directly affected by the ongoing destruction, i.e. loss of the natural environment of human life. Its accumulation leads to the phenomenon that ethologists defined as “regression of humanity”.

Kościół św. Jana Bosko w Kurhanie. Historia pierwszego w Polsce kościoła ku czci założyciela księży salezjanów
Kalisz, Łukasz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
The article describes the history of establishing the first St John Bosco’s church in Poland in Kurhan. The emerging parish of Kurhan was a branch of the Vilnius Salesian center in Dobrej Rady Street. The church was built and consecrated in 1935 and it existed until the end of World War II. After the war it was sovietized and Salesians have never returned to it. The author depicts some hitherto unknown facts, having arranged residual information connected with the Kurhan farm. He also visited the place where the church in Kurhan (Belarus) was situated and described the material remains that survived in this area.

Zagadnienia wychowawcze i szkolne na łamach „Miesięcznika Diecezjalnego Łuckiego” (1926-1939). Krótkie rozważania wokół problematyki źródeł do dziejów oświaty w II Rzeczypospolitej
Gołdyn, Piotr (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
The Roman Catholic diocese of Lutsk Monthly was published in the years of 1926-1939 upon an initiative of bishop Adolf Szelążek. Besides typically church-related and religious subjects, it also addressed such issues as education and teaching. More specifically, it became a forum for the higher members of the clergy on which they expressed their opinions on teaching and education. Due to scarcity of other historical sources, as the majority of them were damaged during the Second World War, the Roman Catholic diocese of Lutsk Monthly has become an interesting source depicting the history of education in the Volhynia region during the interwar period.

Dbałość o urodę kobiet na podstawie traktatów Metrodory z Bizancjum i Trotuli z Salerno
Głusiuk, Anna (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
The treaties “On the Disease and Cures of Women” of Metrodora and “De ornatu mulierum” of Trotula of Salerno are among the few works which were written by women in mediaeval times. They both focus on childbirth and women’s diseases, but they also contain some indications concerning ways of taking care of women’s beauty. Thanks to these works we know what kind of herbs and minerals were used in cosmetic treatments of that time.

Współpraca rodziny i szkoły – potrzeba zaufania i komplementarności
Chrobak, Stanisław (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
Education of children is the most important duty and, at the same time, the right of all parents. A family cannot give up on providing children with support, company and guidance. All other participants in the educational process act to some extent on behalf of parents, on the basis of their consent and even at their direction. The school cannot replace parents, but it should play a complementary role to them. In such a case, special emphasis is placed on fulfilling the commitments made towards parents or on meeting their expectations expressed in the act of trust. Trust refers here to actions undertaken by others and it implies expressing one’s beliefs through action.

Kształtowanie się pojęcia ofiary w protestantyzmie reformowanym
Bokwa, Ignacy (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
The aim of this elaboration is to present the concept of sacrifice in Reformed Protestantism. In result of a dispute between Roman Catholics and Protestants, the latter did not use the notion of sacrifice with reference to the Eucharist and replaced it with the term “Abendmahl” (Lord’s Supper). Renouncement of the concept as such, however, did not mean renouncing its meaning. The doctrine of sacrifice with regard to the Eucharist was developing in the midst of the Reformation and in the course of a severe dispute in which Calvin was acting against Luther and Zwingli. A common characteristic of both the reformers and representatives of the Catholic Church was their focus on the aspect of the true presence of the glorified Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the form of sacrificial bread and wine.

    Ekofilozoficzna interpretacja pozytywizmu
Ganowicz-Bączyk, Anita (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2018)
Implementation of the idea of scientific and technological advancement is perceived as the fundamental cause of the ecological crisis. That idea was promoted among others by Auguste Comte. This article discusses positivist view on the place of human in nature and clarifies to what extent it translated into a deepening of the alienation of human from nature. The positivist position is strongly anthropocentric, which manifests in the continuation of Baconian recommendations for subordinating nature to human needs. Positivism developed a scientific method which contributed to the enormous leap of civilization, but it turned out to be a deeply crisis-generating for human relationship with nature.
