The author observes that each divorce suit results from the tragedy of a matrimonial life, though not always from the fault of a spouse. He dedicates his considerations a) to show how the Catholic Church defends the indissolubility of marriage, b) to discuss the problem of these divorced Catholics whose sacramental marriage has not been declared invalid by the Church court, c) to analyze the legal and pastoral situation of these spouses who left their sacramental marriages for living in non-sacramental ones.Pozycja Rozwój organizacyjny Towarzystwa Strażnica za rządów Josepha F. RutherfordaRadziłowicz, Marcin (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2013)After the death of Charles Taze Russell, Joseph F. Rutherford was elected the president of the Bible Student movement. He managed to stabilize the movement and changed its name into Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was primarily focused on centralizing the administrative structure and the development of its missionary activities. Numerous radio stations of the Watchtower Society were launched under his presidency. He also introduced an innovative method of spreading Jehovah’s Witnesses’ doctrine with gramophone soundtracks. Apart from radio stations, annual congresses made their contribution in reinforcing the structure of the organization and the development of its missionary activities. President Rutherford also procured that Jehovah’s Witnesses’ literature was printed by the Watchtower Society. In addition to the main printing-office in Brooklyn, a number of small printing-offices were shortly established all over the world. In the development of the organization a big part was played by numerous Rutherford’s “missionary” journeys, particularly those to European countries, as well as activities of many other devoted members of the Watchtower Society. Under Rutherford’s presidency, the doctrine of Jehovah’s Witnesses was successfully spread over six continents.Pozycja Human Embodiment and Trinitarian Anthropology – Six Implications for Religious EducationO’Shea, Gerard (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2013)The author starts his considerations with a remark on the human person as a unique kind of reality – an embodied being with a Trinitarian structure. He claims that we must account for human nature as it is and educate the human person accordingly. He focuses on six key areas which need further exploration for the renewal of religious education: (1) religious education and the human person, (2) religious education for the body, (3) religious education for the heart, (4) religious education for the mind, (5) religious education and moral formation, and (6) the nature of faith.Pozycja Philosophy and Power in North America: a Brief IntroductionMango, Peter (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2013)Someone once claimed that every person is a citizen of two countries: of their own, and of the United States of America. This is obvious hyperbole, perhaps written when Europeans were even more fascinated by America’s political experiment, economic expansion, and population growth than by its popular culture. Peoples the world over do not automatically identify with the United States; in fact, many define themselves in opposition to it. The article first examines some primary political powers in American politics, and then traces certain distinct philosophies as responsible for affecting perspectives on centralized government, socioeconomic affairs, foreign policy, and socio-cultural issues.Pozycja Problem rozumienia przyczyny u presokratyków. Przejście od αρχή do αιτίαGondek, Paweł (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2013)The primary ideal of philosophical investigations was focused on seeking for causes which existed in the world of nature. First attempts were concentrated on discovering a basic constructive element (proto-element), which also was to be the primitive principle (αρχή) of life and transformations in the world. That current was represented by such philosophers as Heraclitus, Empedocles, Anaxagoras or Diogenes of Apollonia, who endeavored to describe the reality and its intrinsic processes in a broader causal context. They emphasized material and dynamic causes for originating things and keeping them in existence – causes which transcended a homogeneous principle. The variety of phenomena in the world demanded to seek for causes of different kinds, and became a significant step for understanding the reality in a strictly philosophical way. With having distinguished functions of causes, mentioned thinkers gave a solid foundation for understanding cause as αιτία in later philosophy (of Plato and Aristotle). According to first philosophers, however, the existence and function of causes remained completely dependent on the material component of the reality, which proved that pre-Socratic philosophy was entirely dominated by the physical view of the world.Pozycja Wspomnienia bpa Edwarda Samsela z pobytu na Grodzieńszczyźnie od 3 do 8 listopada 1988 rokuGuzewicz, Wojciech (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2013)Bishop Edward Samsel’s memoirs of his visit in the Grodno region were written at the end of 1988. They are an important source for knowing the history of the Church in Belarus (mainly of its western part) in the time of the communist regime and the formation of the Belarusian state.
