„Zakorzenić się w prawdzie”. Kultura w świetle encykliki „Fides et ratio”
Wojtyła, Wojciech (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
The effect of rejecting the correspondence concept of truth, adopted in classical metaphysics, is the crisis of modern culture, which is ultimately the crisis of man himself. An important element of it is the belief in the gap between faith and reason. John Paul II claims that stopping this crisis can only happen through the spiritual revival of man, whose condition and foundation is the rediscovery of the universal truth about himself and his ultimate destiny. The Pope is convinced that in the context of contemporary liberal and technical-consumer cultural trends, only thanks to objective truth can a man preserve his identity and the unity of his culture.

    O współczesnej potrzebie kierownictwa duchowego
Konopko, Dariusz (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
In a natural order, man depends on his fellow man because he is a social being. In the order of salvation, God wants the work of redemption to be passed on to other people as well. In the work of the Church, all sacraments and ministries are distributed by his ministers. The Church always cares for the internal development of her spiritual sons and daughters. Spiritual guidance is one of the tools used by the Church. Spiritual guidance is the individual guidance of a Christian on God’s path is a way to teach him to listen to the inspirations of the Holy Spirit and to answer it, and is also a special help in practicing virtues appropriate to the state of life and the current situation. The purpose of this article is to show the value of spiritual direction in the modern world, referring to the history of the church and paying attention to the contemporary context of spiritual direction and certain conditions that are important in undertaking this spiritual practice.

Proces Jezusa przed Piłatem według Giorgia Agambena. Prezentacja i krytyka
Artemiuk, Przemysław (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
In the article submitted, the author presents the trial of Jesus before Pilate in the interpretation of Giorgio Agamben. This Italian philosopher, analyzing this event, justifies, in fact, it is difficult to call it a process in the strict sense. Admittedly, Agamben refers to the Gospel texts and the apocryphal-literary tradition, but he does so in his own way, interpreting the particular passages freely. In his deliberations, the distance towards the traditional Catholic exegesis is clearly visible. Therefore, in the second part of the article, the author confronts the vision of the trial of Jesus before Pilate, which is presented by Agamben, with the view present in the latest exegetical and theological literature. The entire analysis is closed with conclusions.

Virtue and the Happiness of Persons
Daum, Anthony (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
The perennial tradition of virtue, grounded in the real natures of human persons, is essential for giving a robust answer to the question: ‘What is happiness, and how do we get it?’ This essay principally follows the metaphysical, psychological, ethical, and theological principles as expounded by St. Thomas Aquinas, primarily as found in his Summa Theologiae. These principles give us a solid foundation in order to build upon the work of more recent figures, especially Fr. Erich Przywara, Fr. Réginald Garrigou-Lagrange, and Josef Pieper. Their insights, grounded in personalism, produce a genuine and faithful development of a Thomistic understanding of personal happiness as the end of man.

The Human Being as Body and Soul: a Reconsideration
Long, Jeremy M. (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
Under Hylemorphism, all composed beings are composed of form and matter. Accordingly, the human being is a unified substance of soul and body. Through the operations of a human being an immaterial power is manifested which demonstrates that the rational soul is immaterial and immortal. Through these elements of Thomistic metaphysics, a clear understanding of the person emerges as both in-itself and toward-others. After key metaphysical principles such as the principle of sufficient reason are defended, arguments against the thesis which claim the person is reducible to body or soul are rebuked and the Hylemorphic account is shown to stand. Leaning on the work of W. Norris Clarke, the person as body and soul is thus shown to be the frontier of being.

Role of Religion Didactics in the Religious Education of Children and Adolescents
Zellma, Anna (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
Religion didactics is one of the main and important subdisciplines of the integral catechetics. Recently, since the return of religion teaching to Polish schools (1990), intensive, interdisciplinary and multi-faceted religion didactics research has been conducted. The analyses performed in this study aimed at presenting the role of religion didactics in the religious education of children and adolescents. Analysis of the basic literature on religion didactics and religious education of children and adolescents was used to first point out the proper understanding of the object of studies of religion didactics. Subsequently, the functions of religion didactics in the religious education of children and adolescents were analysed and the place of the religion didactics in the educational activity of a religion teacher was shown. The final comments pointed out the need for taking up new issues associated with e-learning and the use of new information and communication technologies in religion teaching research. It is also important to emphasise the importance of combining traditional issues with those associated with methodological innovations, including new information and communication technologies.

Wykorzystanie social media w muzeum – korzyści i zagrożenia
Przybysz, Monika; Knecht, Tomasz (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
Running a fanpage on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest or YouTube for cultural institutions is not an easy task. Most often there is a lack of budget for these activities, not only for employing a person responsible for creating content for the Internet, but also a budget for promotion in social media (advertising, video content, content positioning). Qualified staff dealing with the promotion, marketing or communication of the activities of cultural institutions in social media is often lacking. And finally – there is the need to create a brand of a given institution in a professional manner and a communication strategy of this brand is lacking. On the other hand, some cultural institutions are doing very well in the world of social media. Target segmentation, use of various social media functions, preparation of involving content, administration of micro-moments in the communication of cultural institutions, as well as thematic workshops for Internet users and customers of museums – support strategic communication and allow building an involved community in the virtual world. The article aims at proving that creating professional relations with the environment is extremely important for cultural institutions in the world of social media. This issue will be discussed through case study analysis of selected activities in social media on the example of several museums.

Filozoficzne aspekty powołania na przykładzie adhortacji „Pastores dabo vobis” i „Christus vivit”
Sieńkowski, Marcin (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2020)
The purpose of this article is to attempt to philosophically explain the issue of vocation based on the two post-synodal exhortations Pastores dabo vobis and Christus vivit. The issues of vocation are discussed on the basis of: concept, types, structure and discernment of vocation. From a philosophical point of view, vocation has the status of an interpersonal relationship. Its existence is made possible by two correlates, which are God and man. Vocation as a real relational being has ultimate reasons. The source, or causative cause of the Christian vocation, is God who initiates the vocation. God is also the ultimate intentional cause of the vocation. In order for a vocation to come into existence in the form of real being, an act of decision is needed. Thanks to it the vocation is constituted.
