Pozycja Wskazania wychowawcze zawarte w dokumentach Kościoła katolickiegoWołochowicz, Piotr (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The article discusses the most important indications concerning the upbringing of children presented in the Church documents from 1929 to 2016. The review is comprehensive, it includes the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Code of Canon Law, the declaration of the Second Vatican Council Gravissimum educationis and papal encyclicals and exhortations: Divini illius Magistri by Pius XI, Humanae Vitae by Paul VI, Familiaris Consortio, Veritatis Splendor and Evangelium Vitae of John Paul II, Amoris Laetitia of Pope Francis. In addition to documents devoted entirely to the issue of education (GE, DIM), the ones that deal with the subject fragmentarily are discussed (FC, AL) and also those that do not explicitly talk about upbringing, but the subject matter of basic values is indirectly a necessary call and educational guidelines (HV, VS, EV). Although they come from the period of nearly 90 years, there is a visible coherence of educational thought based on God’s revelation. The synthesis of the subject seems especially necessary in the present times, when parents face completely new challenges when it comes to the broadly understood environment of raising their children.Pozycja Development of the State Family Policy, Oriented on a Well-Functioning FamilyPiesha, Iryna; Yablonska, Tetiana (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Introduction. The current trends of the family institution in Ukraine are examined in the context of the state family policy. The purpose of the article is to analyze the trends of a modern family in Ukraine and to find ways to support it at the level of formation of the state family policy. Research results. On the basis of the statistics data and scientific researches, the peculiarities of Ukrainian families, in particular, the crisis manifestations at their functioning (a high divorce rate, low birth rate, appearance of alternative forms of family unions) are analyzed. The data are analyzed revealing negative social phenomena that are consequences of family dysfunction: irresponsible parenting, domestic violence, social orphanhood, juvenile crime. It is argued that the state family policy focused on working with dysfunctional families does not actually support well-functioning families. Conclusions. The article substantiates the necessity of a holistic family policy aimed at family development, supporting family well-functioning, promoting systematic, consistent work in the following main directions: formation of the family values priority in society; preparation of children and youth for family forming, development of responsible parenting; prevention of family dysfunction; assisting parents rearing children; social support for families in difficult living conditions.Pozycja Niektóre predyktory związków z rówieśnikami dla adolescentów z rodzin samotnych matekNapora, Elżbieta (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The aim of study was to establish model of the relationship between amount of contants with an absent father and support from grandparents with communication with peers of adolescents from single mother families. The hypothesis about amount of contatcts with absent father and support from grandparents predicts communication with peers of adolescents from single mother family was verified with using a Berlinʼs Scale of Social Support, the authorʼs Scale of Communication with peers and with data about amount of contacts with absent father in group of 182 adolescents from single mother families. Results showed that adolescentsʼs amount of contacts with absent father, is significant correlacted with perceived support from grandparents and with opened communication with peers.Pozycja Psychologiczne uwarunkowania wychowania moralnego dzieci w młodszym wieku szkolnymŁysiuk, Lidia (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The aim of the article is to systematize theoretical and empirical data concerning psychological determinants of children moral education at primary school age. It is assumed that morality appears in situations when one should take into account needs and rights of another person and acts as a system of self-regulation to choose between morally desirable behavior and behavior beyond moral norm. Each stage of child’s development has been characterized by specific social interactions, determined formation of certain structures of moral self-regulation. New school life conditions cause deepening of moral reality learning and influence moral identity development. According to the mentioned features of morality development, substantive aspects of the overall process of upbringing at a primary school age were identified. First of all, impacts directed at the separate elements of moral self-regulation system formation (moral knowledge, moral identity, moral assessments, empathy and others). Second, czostajategory of interactions refers to real situations when child is a subject or object of moral activities. This regularity is also confirmed in Poland, where, according to research, as many as 29% of prisoners may be addicted to gambling. Despite our exploring the problem linking crime with gambling, there is not much in-depth research done about gamblers themselves committing crimes. The article presents the results of qualitative research conducted among imprisoned gamblers. The aim of the article is to characterize the functioning of families with gamblers and attempt to explain the role of the family in the development and involvement in gambling.Pozycja Dysfunkcjonalne używanie telefonu komórkowego wśród młodzieży a kontrola rodzicielskaKrzyżak-Szymańska, Ewa (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The dynamic expansion of digital technologies and their more common using in a daily life cause that researchers are thinking of their influence on human development and social functioning. The mobile phone (smartphone) has a special place among these devices which is now used not only for communicational aims but also as a mobile command centre. That is why researchers are trying to explain when mobile phone use becoming dysfunctional and what are the reasons of this state. One of the enviromental factor which have an impact on a addiction development is a parental control made by a mother and a father in the range of mobile phone using by a child. The article presents the researches results of disfunctional mobile phone using by youth, in the context of parental control realised by attendants in the area of new media using. 2657 results of students in the age 12-19 from middle and upper-secondary schools from the silesian voivodeship were analysed. The people choice to the research sample was randommulti-layered. In studies used a Mobile Phone Problem Use Scale for Adolescents (MPPUSA) and a authorial questionnaire. Certified the statistically significiant connection (although weak) between dysfunctional mobile phone using level and realised parental control in the terms of a device use.Pozycja Podmiotowe i rodzinne czynniki ryzyka uzależnienia od internetu w grupie kobiet i mężczyzn. The purpose of this article was to answer the question which of the analysed subjective and family-related variables determine the risk of Internet addiction. Material and methoods. This article makes use of the Internet Addiction Test by K. Young, Social Competences Questionnaire (A. Matczak), INTE Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (Anna Ciechanowicz, A. Jaworska, A. Matczak) and the Parents-Child Relationship Questionnaire by A. Roe and M. Siegelman in the Polish adaptation by W.S. Kowalski (1984). In the quantitative analysis of data obtained from these psychological tests, the statistical package SPSS + and STATISTICA were used. 322 people aged 19-31 have been examined with the use of the afore-mentioned methods. Results and conclusions. The obtained results indicate the predictive importance of social competences determining the effectiveness of respondents’ functioning in intimate situations (both in the group of females and males). The following have turned out to be determinants in the group of females: fatherʼs demanding attitude, emotional intelligence and social competences determining the effectiveness of functioning in intimate situations and those requiring assertiveness. In the group of males, five prediction factors have been revealed, including: motherʼs protecting and loving attitude, fatherʼs liberal attitude and social competences determining the effectiveness of functioning in situations of social exposure and intimacy.Pozycja Pomoc duchowo-religijna w placówkach opieki zdrowotnejKalinowski, Mirosław; Szot, Leon (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The article takes into account the historical context of medical care and treatment institutions, ecclesial and state codifications regarding spiritual and religious ministry in health care institutions, forms of assistance in this area and the opinions of patients in care and treatment facilities regarding spiritual and religious assistance. Progressive specialization in social life and the multitude of roles and meanings in the system of social references forces the revision of the current models of these forms of assistance. As a result, surveys have shown that their adequacy depends to a great extent on the support entity. The chaplain’s spiritual and religious help is addressed to every person regardless of their accepted system of religious values, views towards Christianity, attitude towards the Church, or nominal or selective Catholicism. We should think about other possibilities to expand the ministry of spiritual support. Patients suggest nuns, members of religious movements, lay Eucharist ministers and people who have suffered the loss of loved ones. Most likely, each of these groups, after proper preparation, can undertake a number of duties leading to a fuller spiritual care ministry among the sick.Pozycja Features of University Students’ Self-Attitude in the Context of Self-Determination of Personal DevelopmentIavorska-Vietrova, Iryna (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The article analyzes peculiarities of students’ self-attitudes in the context of self-determination of their personal development. Self-attitude is defined as a poly-modal emotional-estimative system based on the principle of a dynamic hierarchy and acting as one of the structural units of a person’s dispositional core and a component of the structure of self-consciousness. Self-attitude expresses peculiarities of an individual’s attitude to oneself and provides centring of one’s inner space and formation of the semantic vector of one’s life path. Positive self-attitude along with personal aspirations and prospects, personal autonomy, self-efficacy is an indicator of a self-determined individual. The used questionnaire on self-attitude developed by V.V. Stolin, S.R. Pantileev allowed us to identify three levels of self-attitude according to the degree of its generalization: general self-attitude; self-attitude differentiated by self-regard, auto-sympathy, self-interest and expected attitude of others; the level of concrete actions (readiness for them) regarding Self. The analyses of students’ self-attitude has shown that the respondents are characterized by high indicators of general self-attitude and high and average lower-level indicators. The students with high and low self-determination have different expressiveness of the self-attitude components.Pozycja Postawy rodziny wobec gry w pokera – wyniki badań jakościowych graczy rekreacyjnych i zawodowychGrzesik, Anna (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Playing poker is quite a popular pastime, but it can be also an unusual form of work. Nevertheless, it can become an addiction having negative consequences for an individual person and the society, moreover, it is not accepted in this society. Therefore, playersʼ families may be concerned about the outcomes of taking up this game. It is confirmed by the results of the qualitative studies described in this article 1. There were conducted 30 in-depth interviews with recreational and professional poker players aged 19-30, the purpose of which was, for example, to provide information on the family situation of poker players. The article presents the results related to the families’ attitudes towards the game, which were mostly full of fears and doubts. There were described reasons of their negative attitudes usually conditioned by the mechanisms of the social life and the fear of becoming addicted to the game, as well as their consequences related to further plans of the players. Educational guides written by Christian advisers are a great help in bringing up children. The chapter presents the general principles of education formulated by Saint. Jan Chryzostom, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and such authors as R. Cambell, G. Chapman, J. Dobson, J. McDowell, M. Dziewiecki, A. Urbaniak, M. and P. Wołochowicz. A specific and detailed help in the process of upbringing is to pay attention to the development of love, the growth in the virtue of chastity and the creation of favorable living conditions in accordance with the faith. Information on the contents of the guides of Christian advisers may be useful for those responsible for raising the young generation: parents, teachers, catechists, priests and pastoral workers of families.Pozycja Aktywność fizyczna pielęgniarek. Badania porównawczeChuchra, Maria; Gorbaniuk, Julia (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Nurses are important promoters of health in society, so they must consciously take care of their health to serve as spokespersons for a healthy lifestyle and role models. Physical activity is one of the significant dimensions of health-related behaviors and a healthy lifestyle. The purpose of this article was to compare physical activity in the free time of nurses and women performing other professions. The research included 100 nurses and 100 women doing other professions. The respondents were tested with the matched pair-selection method, taking into consideration two variables: a place of residence and age. The survey questionnaire that was used was prepared for the purpose of a smaller study. The research revealed that the main difference relates not to the forms of physical activity, but its frequency and this is usually related to the age of the participants. The most common forms of physical activity in both groups are walking and cycling. However, nurses practice them with much less frequency. The essential reason for this is because they have significantly less free time, both on working days and holidays. The main motive of physical activity for nurses is health (52%) while in the control group – pleasure (35%). Nurses also significantly more often perform prophylactic and are convinced about the necessity of leading a healthy lifestyle.Pozycja Kształtowanie kompetencji społeczno-emocjonalnych dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym jako wyzwanie dla rodziców i nauczycieliArtymiak, Małgorzata; Pawelec, Marta (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The article focuses on the issue of competences as a significant asset which, developed and perfected, determines not only the ability to adapt to various challenges at different stages of life, but also the ability to develop. One particular type of competence, the socio-emotional competences, understood as the body of knowledge, skills and attitudes connected to emotions and interpersonal relations. They allow not only to understand one’s own and others’ behaviour, but also to effectively build interpersonal relations. The shaping of those competences ought to begin in the early stages of child’s life, but it is hampered by many difficulties nevertheless. Particularly important becomes then increased awareness of and development of those competences in parents and teachers, as well as their cooperation.
