Kicz w przestrzeni sakralnej w opiniach internautów – na przykładzie sanktuarium w Licheniu

Abstract

Celem podjętego badania była analiza wypowiedzi internautów na temat bazyliki w Licheniu, która budzi wiele kontrowersji i dyskusji. Jedni uważają ją za najbardziej wzorcowy przykład kiczu religijnego, inni za prawdziwe dzieło sztuki. Jak widzą to użytkownicy internetu wypowiadający swoje opinie na forach internetowych? To zasadniczy problem badawczy i pytanie badawcze podjęte w tekście, który pokazuje zaledwie niewielki wycinek badań autora nad kiczem religijnym. Metoda badawcza: W artykule pokonano przeglądu literatury przedmiotu (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem opinii projektantki bazyliki oraz oceniających projekt architektów i historyków sztuki), a także przeprowadzono badania netnograficzne, które w ostatnich dekadach coraz częściej są stosowane w medioznawstwie. Wyniki i wnioski: jak dowiodła analiza etnograficzna, opinie internautów na temat tego szczególnego miejsca na mapie turystyki religijnej i kulturowej są podzielone. Wartość poznawcza: wyniki badania dowodzą, że to, co dla jednych jest przejawem kiczu religijnego, dla innych może zyskiwać szczególną wartość religijną i duchową, co zdaje się potwierdzać opinię jednego z badaczy kiczu, że jest on jedynie w oku patrzącego.The purpose of the study undertaken was to analyze Internet users' statements about the basilica in Licheń, which arouses much controversy and discussion. Some consider it the most exemplary example of religious kitsch, while others consider it a true work of art. How do Internet users expressing their opinions in online forums see it? This is the fundamental research problem and research question addressed in the text, which shows only a small part of the author's research on religious kitsch. Research method: the article overcomes a review of the literature on the subject (with a particular focus on the opinions of the basilica's designer and the architects and art historians evaluating the project), and conducts netnographic research, which has been increasingly used in media studies in recent decades. Results and conclusions: as the netnographic analysis proved, the opinions of Internet users about this particular place on the map of religious or cultural tourism are divided. Cognitive value: the results of the study prove that what for some is a manifestation of religious kitsch for others may have a special religious and spiritual value, which seems to confirm the opinion of one kitsch researcher that it is only in the eye of the beholder.
