    Teologia wypowiedzi Jezusa z krzyża
Zbroja, Bogdan (Polskie Towarzystwo Teologiczne, 2012)
The article presents a theological message of the last words that Jesus spoke from the height of the cross. Layout content is conveyed in three kinds of Christ’s relations: the words addressed to God the Father; the words addressed to the good people standing by the cross; the so-called declarations that the Master had spoken to anyone but uttered them in general. All these words speak of the Master’s love. They express His full awareness of what is being done and of His decision voluntarily taken. Above all, it is revealed in the Lord’s statements His obedience to the will of God expressed in the inspired words of the Holy Scriptures. Jesus fulfills all the prophecies of the Old Testament by pronounced words and accomplished works that will become content of the New Testament.

Krzyż – ołtarz – orientacja zanoszonych modlitw
Superson, Jarosław A. (Polskie Towarzystwo Teologiczne, 2012)
This article presents a brief history of the orientation of the altar in the liturgical space, the cross with the image of the Crucified on it and the direction of the liturgical prayers from the altar. In the Church’s history the altar was usually placed in the apse or among the congregation. For hundreds of years there was a rule that the celebrant standing at the altar and the faithful participating in the Mass offered prayers to eastern direction. In the first millennium at the Roman Catholic Church only consecration gifts were being placed on the altar, and only at the beginning of the second millennium first the candelabra, than the crucifix were put on. After accepting the Dialogue Mass and the versus populum celebration by the Second Vatican Council, the cross was placed near the altar usually as the processional cross with the image of Jesus Christ facing the faithful. Since 2007, during the celebration of the Eucharist presided by Pope Benedict XVI the cross stands in the center of the altar with the image of the Crucified directed towards the principal celebrant.

Rola krzyża w zbawczym dziele Boga w teologii św. Pawła
Mickiewicz, Franciszek (Polskie Towarzystwo Teologiczne, 2012)
The author of this article analyzes the texts, in which St. Paul writes on the subject of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. In Ga 2:19–20 the apostle presents the love of Christ as an essential feature of his nature and he suggests that this love was expressed in the particular, historical self offering on the cross. In Rom 5:7–8 he states that the only motive for the redeeming sacrifice, which the Son of God offered of himself, following the will of the Father, is the heroic love, shown in the death for sinners. Despite the fact that in the antiquity the cross was a tool of the most degrading and humiliating death, St. Paul writes in Ga 6:14 that he boasts of the cross of Jesus Christ, furthermore, in 1 Cor 1:24 he adds that the crucified Christ is “the power of God and the wisdom of God”. In Ga 3:13 Paul observes a state of humanity, overloaded with the curse of sin, as a slavery, from which the Christ freed it, through his sacrifice offered on the wood of the cross, because on it, by his own will he took this curse, which was leading humanity to condemnation, on himself. Further deepening of the theological reflection on the role of the cross in the saving work of God can be found in Eph 2:13–16 and Col 1:19–20. The author of these texts recognizes the blood of Christ, poured out on the cross, as the tool of reconciliation and introducing peace and reconciliation to the world.

Psalm 22 w ewangelicznej interpretacji pasyjnej
Jędrzejewski, Sylwester (Polskie Towarzystwo Teologiczne, 2012)
Ps 22 is a piece of artistically high poetry, clear images and metaphors, historical and prophetic references. The conviction of biblical scholars that the New Testament writers has recognized in Ps 22 prophetic witness of passion, accompanies the Church from its beginnings. The words of Jesus on the cross, taken from Ps 22:2, have a character of lamentable re-symbolization of the prayer of Israel. These words establish a theological answer in the form of suitable credo as well. Dramatic question “why?” is connected with a proclamation and identification “My God”. The personal experience of oppression and death is included by Jesus in the history of his nation and in the experience of God. Ps 22 in the Gospels’ passion context becomes a proclamation form of prayer and a very personal, expressed in such dramatic circumstances confession of the faith.
