Abstract

Współczesne dokumenty Kościoła, nawiązując do tradycji wcześniejszych, chętnie podejmują temat wychowania, zarówno mając na uwadze wychowanie ogólne człowieka, jak i wychowanie religijne. Zagadnienie to jest również częstym tematem wypowiedzi papieży, jak i refleksji katechetycznej. Opracowanie prezentuje panoramę posoborowego nauczania Kościoła zarówno dotyczącą określenia i istoty wychowania, relacji między wychowawcą a wychowankiem, jak i określającą cele wychowawcze i sposoby ich osiągnięcia. Zebrane wypowiedzi składają się na całościową wizję wychowawczą charakteryzującą się szacunkiem dla procesu wychowania, ale i wychowanków, a także odnoszącą ich zarówno do doczesnego, jak i wiecznego celu wychowania.

The contemporary documents of the Church, referring to earlier traditions, willingly take up the subject of nurturing. The subject discusses both general and religious education. This issue is also a frequent topic of the Pope’s statements as well as catechetical reflections. The study presents a plethora of the post-Conciliar Church teaching about the definition and the essence of education, the relationship between the educator and education defining educational goals and the ways to achieve them. The statements build a comprehensive educational vision characterized by the respect for the process of upbringing and foster children. It also refers to the purpose of education, both temporal and eternal.
