Abstrakt
In the last decades we observe in patristic studies a growing interest in ancient exegesis. At the same time in the area of biblical studies large number of scholars practise synchronic methods of interpretation. Both trends have some common intuitions that could be useful in order to open new ways for creative – and at the same time anchored in the tradition – reading of the Bible. In our paper we present some methodological suggestions concerning this kind of research. This are the main points of analysis: Perspectives of the reader (ways from the text to the reader). The dialogical structure of the biblical text offers to the reader numerous possibilities of interpretation. The width of this possibilities depends on the grammatical and literary characteristics of the single text. Interpretative traditions (ways from the reader to the text). In patristic commentaries to biblical texts we find a variety of interpretative currents. A critical analysis of this currents leads to determine and classify their position in relation to the dialogical „intention” of the text. The methodology we propose will be illustrated with some examples taken from our research on the interpretation of Qohelet.
