Rodzina w sztuce sakralnej miasta Bieruń – studium przypadków

Abstract

The aim of the study will be to examine two works from the early 21st century and to determine the layers of meaning and symbolism. Their author is the painter Roman Nyga. They are located in Bieruń. The first is a painting entitled The Holy Family placed in the parish church of St. Bartholomew the Apostle. The work symbolically conveys, among others, the beauty of love, community, faith. We can also encounter these issues in the square of the so-called St. Valentine’s Square. In its center there is a column – the Monument of St. Valentine, Patron Saint of the City of Bieruń. The main access to the central point of the square is flanked by two low plinths, on both sides of which there are granite slabs with drawings and inscriptions: LOVE – PURITY, LET’S DO GOOD, FAITH – PRAYER, GRACE – MIRACLE. The research method adopted in this study combines the analysis of sacred art with a local historical background and a broader cultural perspective. The aim of the study is to isolate symbols and signs encoded in the works discussed and which co-determine their uniqueness in which the beauty of art conveys the beauty of deep faith and prayer.

Celem studium będzie zbadanie dwóch dzieł z początku XXI w. oraz określenie warstw znaczeniowych i symbolicznych. Ich autorem jest artysta malarz Roman Nyga. Zlokalizowane są w Bieruniu. Pierwszym jest obraz pt. Święta Rodzina zamieszczony w kościele parafialnym pw. św. Bartłomieja Apostoła. Dzieło w sposób symboliczny przekazuje m.in. piękno miłości, wspólnoty, wiary. Z tą problematyką możemy się także spotkać na skwerze – tzw. placu św. Walentego. W jego centrum zlokalizowano kolumnę – Pomnik św. Walentego Patrona Miasta Bierunia. Główne dojście do centralnego punktu placu flankowane jest dwoma niewysokimi cokołami, na których po obydwu stronach umieszczono granitowe płyty z rysunkami oraz podpisami: MIŁOŚĆ – CZYSTOŚĆ, CZYŃMY DOBRO, WIARA – MODLITWA, ŁASKA – CUD. W pracy przyjęto metodę badawczą polegającą na połączeniu analizy pojęć z zakresu sztuki sakralnej z lokalnym kontekstem historycznym oraz szerszą perspektywą kulturową. Celem badania jest wyodrębnienie symboli i znaków zakodowanych w omawianych dziełach i współdecydujących o ich wyjątkowości, w której piękno sztuki przekazuje piękno głębokiej wiary i modlitwy.
