Idea świata, który ma nadejść w Targumie Neofiti 1 w kontekście Starego i Nowego Testamentu

Abstract

Problem życia po śmierci był przedmiotem zainteresowania wielu autorów biblijnych. Początkowo pojawiały się jedynie aluzje do życia wiecznego, a dopiero z czasem zarysowała się nauka o zmartwychwstaniu ciał. W ten proces rozwoju myśli wpisuje się Targum Neofiti 1, który często podejmuje zagadnienie „świata, który ma nadejść”. Nowy Testament stanowi natomiast w wielu miejscach kontynuację idei targumicznych, które łączą obie części Biblii. Niniejszy artykuł ukazuje rozwój biblijnej idei życia wiecznego począwszy od Starego Testamentu, przez teksty targumiczne aż po eschatologię nowotestamentalną. Zostały w nim ukazane nawiązania terminologiczne a także sposób podobnego rozumienia wielu koncepcji eschatologicznych. Idea „świata, który ma nadejść” pozwala na głębsze wniknięcie w orędzie zbawcze głoszone przez Chrystusa.

The problem of life after death has been the concern of many biblical authors. At first, there were only allusions to eternal life, and only with time did the doctrine of the resurrection of bodies become outlined. This process of development of thought includes Targum Neofiti 1, which often addresses the issue of the “world to come”. The New Testament, on the other hand, is in many places a continuation of the targumic ideas that link the two parts of the Bible. This paper therefore presents the development of the biblical idea of eternal life from the Old Testament, through the targumic texts and up to the New Testament eschatology. Terminological references are shown as well as a similar understanding of many eschatological concepts. The idea of “the world to come” allows a deeper insight into the message of salvation proclaimed by Christ.
