Interpretacja Psalmu 110 w Targumie Psalmów

Abstract

Tematem artykułu jest ukazanie badania interpretacji Tg Ps 110, w którym oprócz tłumaczenia tekstu hebrajskiego znajduje się również materiał dodatkowy wprowadzony przez tłumacza. Na podstawie przedstawionego polskiego przekładu aramejskiej wersji psalmu i analizy kolejnych wersetów wskazano zmiany i główne elementy egzegezy żydowskiej. Materiał uzupełniający odzwierciedla między innymi charakterystyczne dla rabinów poglądy na temat pożytku ze studiowania Prawa. W artykule wykazano też, że Tg Ps 100 nosi cechy typowych dla aramejskich przekładów technik translacyjnych. W tym kontekście zauważono, że zmiany w Tg Ps 110, znajdują się szczególnie w tych miejscach, które chrześcijanie interpretowali jako odnoszące się do Jezusa jako Mesjasza. W tym kontekście podjęto próbę odpowiedzi, czy targum zawiera elementy polemiki z tradycją chrześcijańską. Na podstawie badań wskazano, że targum zawiera elementy egzegezy historyzującej, jak również mesjanistycznej.

The aim of this article is to assess the interpretation of the biblical text offered by Tg Ps 110. In addition to the direct rendering of the Hebrew original, the Targum also contains supplementary material that was introduced by the translator. On the basis of the Polish translation of the Aramaic text of Ps 110 and an examination of its individual verses, the principal features and major modifications of the Jewish exegesis have been identified. The supplementary material reflects, among other things, some of the typical rabbinic views on the benefits of studying the Torah. It is also shown in the article that Tg Ps 110 has features typical of the translatory techniques used in the Aramaic translations. In this context, it is noted that most of the Tg Ps 110 changes are to be found in those parts which Christians interpreted as referring to Christ as the Messiah. Hence the article attempts to answer the question of whether the Targum discussed contains any elements of polemic with the Christian tradition. The exploration of the above issues leads to the conclusion that Tg Ps 110 contains elements of both historicizing and messianic exegesis.
