Abstract

The article is dedicated to the genealogy of the Jesus in Luke’s Gospel (Lk 3:23-38), observing many of conventions of biblical genealogies, however has a lot of authentic stamps. He is differing markedly from origins of the Jesus in Mateusz’s Gospel (Mt 1:1-17). Very much a structure of analyzed genealogy, being characterized by an extraordinary symmetric construction constitutes the interesting issue. The issue taken in the article of sources which Luke used at constructing genealogy is also discovering a wide range of hypotheses and speculations. The separate subject constitutes the theological message of genealogy. Main theological subject resulting from genealogy (Lk 3:23-38) it is a universalism of the salvation which to world brought the Jesus Christ – second/new Adam.
