Problem szczęścia i nieszczęścia w „Wygnaniu” Andrieja Zwiagincewa – próba interpretacji teologicznej

Abstract

Artykuł analizuje film Andrieja Zwiagincewa pt. Wygnanie z perspektywy kulturoznawczo-teologicznej, koncentrując badania na problematyce szczęścia i nieszczęścia. Mimo, że filmy reżysera nie są konfesyjne, w Wygnaniu da się odnaleźć spójną chrześcijańską wizję szczęścia, która zasadza się na trzech filarach (odpowiadają im poszczególne części pracy): 1. stan nieszczęścia, zwłaszcza w relacjach między kobietą a mężczyzną, jako konsekwencja grzechu pierworodnego i wygnania z Raju; 2. szczęście odzyskane dzięki staraniom człowieka, który poszukuje Boga i dzięki przyjaźni z Nim – odzwierciedla się w odzyskanej harmonii małżeńskiej; 3. szczęście dzięki ofierze przypominającej ofiarę Chrystusa, umożliwia poznanie transcendentnej Prawdy, skruchę i nawrócenie. Wygnanie pokazuje, że chrześcijańskie szczęście nie jest w pełni możliwe tu, na Ziemi, często bywa szczęściem w nieszczęściu – jednak jest to zgodne z duchem Kazania na Górze. Z pewnością jest to jednak szczęście prawdziwe.

The article analyzes the movie from Andrey Zwyagintsev titled The Banishment, from a cultural-theological perspective, concentrating the research on issues surrounding happiness and unhappiness. Despite the director’s movies not being confessional, in The Banishment we can find a consistent Christian vision of happiness, which is built on 3 pillars (particular parts of the thesis correspond to each one of them): 1. the state of unhappiness, particularly in relations between a man and a woman, as a consequence of the original sin and banishment from Eden; 2. the happiness regained thanks to the effort of a person that seeks God and friendship with Him – it is reflected in a regained harmony in marriage; 3. the happiness gained thanks to a sacrifice resembling the sacrifice of Christ, which makes it possible to know the transcendent Truth, to repent and convert. The Banishment shows us that Christian happiness is not fully possible here on Earth, and that it frequently is a blessing in disguise – but it is consistent with the spirit of the Sermon on the Mount. However, such happiness is definitely true.
