Abstrakt
This article was a reminder of the twentieth anniversary of the death of Cardinal Joseph Höffner, a great representative of Catholic Social Doctrine in Germany, who in particular for us Poles day, exactly 16 October 1987 went to the Father. Joseph Höffner in his teaching strongly advocates againts Communism and Socialism in all their forms and against Capitalism and Liberalism. Political theology and liberation theology are criticized by him because the changes appear in the same way as the social relations and evangelization and limit, given by the Savior, salvation to the temporal dimensions. In contrast the Christian social teaching has four global function: defending human rights and dignity, speeches for peace of the world, the fight against hunger in the world and concern for the creation of the world, it means environmental commitment and obligation to shape the life of dignified human being. These tasks are devoted by Höffner as a researcher and a bishop.
