Abstrakt
St. Teresa of Avila is a telling example of a person who fights for the dignity of women even against Church authorities. Her strength lies in her mystical experience of God, which helps her discover the source of dignity of a human being, regardless of gender. While confirming the truth of Revelation with regard to human dignity she shows us at the same time what determination we should show in our fight for the truth disregarding convenient social habits that lasted for centuries.
