Zarys historii Zgromadzenia Sióstr Matki Bożej z La Salette

Abstract

Zgromadzenie Sióstr Matki Bożej z La Salette jest apostolskim instytutem zakonnym, na prawie papieskim od 19 września 2022 r., w służbie Kościołowi i jego misji. Powstało 20 stycznia 1962 r. ze zjednoczenia dwóch instytutów: Sióstr Wynagrodzicielek Matki Bożej z La Salette i Sióstr Misjonarek Matki Bożej z La Salette, którego fundacja wywodzi się z objawienia Maryi w La Salette, 19 września 1846 r., w diecezji Grenoble (Francja). Jego historia, tradycja i charyzmat są zakorzenione w wydarzeniu La Salette. Dlatego saletynki szczególnie są otwarte na wezwanie Maryi do pojednania i nawrócenia. Ich duchowość doprowadziła wspólnotę do przyjęcia dwóch innych zgromadzeń przez fuzję: Sióstr Posłanniczek z La Salette z Angoli oraz Sióstr Jezusa Odkupiciela i Maryi Pośredniczki z Francji. Saletynki są zgromadzeniem międzynarodowym (liczy 285 sióstr), obecnym w 11 krajach świata: we Francji, we Włoszech, w Polsce, w USA, w Kanadzie, w Brazylii, na Filipinach, w Myanmar (dawna Birma), na Madagaskarze, w Angoli i w Algierii. Wzbogacone różnymi historiami i kulturami odpowiadają na wezwanie Chrystusa do życia wspólnotowego, modlitwy, poświęcenia, aktywnej obecności z potrzebującymi. Przez całe życie chcą być świadkami wezwania Chrystusa do pojednania, pokuty i nawrócenia.The Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of La Salette is an apostolic religious institute, under papal right from September 19th, 2022, at the service of the Church and her mission. It was founded on 20th of January 1962 by the unification of two institutes: the Sisters of the Reparation of Our Lady of La Salette and the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of La Salette, whose foundation derives from the apparition of Mary at La Salette, on 19th of September 1846, in the Diocese of Grenoble (France). Its history, tradition and charism are rooted in the event of La Salette. For this reason, the La Salette Sisters are specifically open to Mary’s call to reconciliation and conversion. Their spirituality led the community to welcome two other congregations through merging: the Missionary Sisters of La Salette of Angola and the Sisters of Jesus the Redeemer and Mary the Mediatrix of France. The La Salette Sisters is an international congregation (with 285 sisters), present in eleven countries of the world: France, Italy, Poland, the USA, Canada, Brazil, the Philippines, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Madagascar, Angola, and Algeria. Enriched with different histories and cultures, they respond to Christ’s call to community life, prayer, dedication, active presence with those in need. Throughout their lives, they want to be witnesses of Christ’s call to reconciliation, penance, and conversion.
