Droga wiary s. Emanueli Kalb duchaczki (1899-1986)

Abstract

A convert from Judaism to Christianity, the daughter of a rabbi from Rzeszów, Sister Emanuela Kalb consciously chose Christ as her Master when she joined the Order of the Canons Regular of the Holy Spirit in Kraków. Accepting baptism she had to overcome manifold difficulties made by her associates. Through prayer and sacrifice she followed Christ reaching the peaks of spiritual unification with Jesus Christ in love. The way of Sister Emanuela Kalb, the daughter of the chosen people, to Christ led through difficult incidents of the “night of faith”, which included the experience of a meeting with Christ and a choice consciously made against the reluctance of her closest relatives. The experiencing of faith accompanied the consecutive stages of her life until her complete yielding to Christ through sacrificing her life for the chosen people and for priests.
