Abstract

Artykuł prezentuje centralne miejsce Biblii w życiu U. Zwingliego. Reformacja w Zurychu, której początki były głównie jego dziełem, ujawniła to na kilku polach: w kaznodziejstwie, prowadzonych dysputach teologicznych i w tzw. szkole proroctw (Prophezei). Na każdym z tych pól szwajcarski reformator eksponował autorytet Biblii – nieporównywalny z innymi autorytetami. Równocześnie podkreślał rolę Ducha Świętego w interpretacji tekstów biblijnych. Prawda o inspirującym działaniu Ducha Świętego, jak i prawda o suwerenności Boga leżą u podstaw życia i teologicznego dziedzictwa reformatora z Zurychu.

The article discusses the central place of the Bible in the life of Ulrich Zwingli. The Reformation in Zurich, whose origins were mainly due to his work, is revealed within several fields: in preaching, theological disputes and the so-called “School of Prophecy” (Prophezei). On each of these fields, the Swiss reformer exhibited the authority of the Bible – incomparable with other authorities. At the same time, he emphasized the role of the Holy Spirit in the interpretation of biblical texts. The truth about the inspiring work of the Holy Spirit and the truth about the sovereignty of God are at the heart of the life and theological heritage of the reformer from Zurich.
