Znaczenie wokalnych elementów struktury kazania dla jego recepcji

Abstract

The aim of the article is an attempt to present the meaning of the vocal elements of the reception of the sermon. It concentrates on the psychological aspects of preaching and attempts to explain which vocal elements are important in the reception of the sermon. In the theoretical part the article describes an understanding of the sermon preached in Church and also presents the fundamental factors which are important in the structure and function of interpersonal communication: source, message, channel and receiver. The features of these factors influence the level of persuasion and determinate the process of the reception of the sermon. In this process the vocal elements are very important because of their influence on the receiver’s emotional state and the dimensions of the reception: memory, evaluation and assimilation. The empirical part presents the results of the experiment. 139 students divided into three groups listened the sermon that was spoken in three vocalisation and then checked the questionnaire of the reception. The results obtained from them show that vocal elements determine the evaluation of the sermon, the evaluation of the preacher and the religious and existential assimilation. The active vocalisation was the best whilst the moralizity vocalisation got the worst notes. The paper ends referring to the possibilities of further analysis, empirical research and practical cues for preaching.
