As we all know, the theme of Karol Wojtyla’s doctor thesis in theology was faith as perceived by St. John of the Cross. Attempting to present but a part of theological thought of Father Wojtyła, pope John Paul II, we will ask just one question: what of the studying of the work of the Spanish mystic and the Doctor of the Church was chosen and transformed in the creativeness of the man whose doctor thesis we are recollecting today? Let us look for the answer in the two directions: this of the form, method and style of theological thinking and of the train of thought of its contents.
