Ocena zasadności stosowania wypowiedzi z Rdz 4,15 jako argumentu przeciwko karze śmierci

Abstract

The words of God in Gen 4,14 are seldom used as an argument against the death penalty. Such application is difficult to accept because the death penalty was often put into practice in the Old Testament times and the regulations related to its application are part of the biblical text. Our paper contains the analysis of the possibilities to apply this argument, taking in consideration the rules of the interpretation of the Scripture. The conclusion is that the application of this argument is possible.
