Der christlich-islamische Dialog aus katholischer Perspektive

Abstract

Pytanie o stosunek do innych wyznań i religii należy do centralnych zagadnień Soboru Watykańskiego II. Trzy dokumenty soborowe tworzą podstawę do dialogu z islamem oraz do pokojowego współistnienia chrześcijan i wyznawców innych religii: Konstytucja dogmatyczna o Kościele Lumen gentium, Deklaracja o stosunku Kościoła do religii niechrześcijańskich Nostra aetate i Deklaracja o wolności religijnej Dignitatis humanae. Obok Soboru, także papieże: Jan XXIII, Paweł VI, Jan Paweł II, Benedykt XVI i Franciszek zwrócili uwagę na to, aby w każdej innej religii szukać tego, co dobre i prawdziwe, a nie koncentrować się tylko na tym, co jest zgodne z nauką chrześcijańską. Według nauczania Soboru i papieży, przedstawicieli innych religii należy postrzegać jako braci i siostry jednego Boga i szukać z nimi dialogu. Chodzi tutaj przede wszystkim o postawę chrześcijan wobec muzułmanów. Postawę tę winny charakteryzować solidarność, braterstwo i dążenie do pokoju.

The question of the relationship to other confessions and religions belongs to the central problems of the Vatican Council II. The three Councils’ documents offer strong basis, for the dialogue with Islam and for peaceful coexistence between Christians and supporters of other religions. Among these are: The Dogmatic Constitution of the Church Lumen Gentium, the Description Nostra aetate about the relationship of the Church to other Religions outside the Christendom and the Description of the Religious Freedom Dignitatis humane. These documents also offer the basis for a peaceful coexistence between Catholics and Muslims. The Vatican Council II and the Popes: John XXIII, Paul VI, John-Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis have warned, that in other religions, we should focus attention on that which is good and valuable, and not on that which separates them from Christianity. They encourage us to consider the representatives of other religions as brothers and sisters of the same and only God, and to seek dialogue with them. The positive attitude in dialogue with Muslims has been clearly and strongly underscored by the above mentioned Popes. They are supporters of solidarity, brotherhood and peace in dialogue with the Muslims.
