Bóg i Jego słowo – refleksja na temat relacji chrześcijaństwa do islamu

Abstract

Dyskusja między chrześcijaństwem a islamem nie sprowadza się do alternatywy „Jezus czy Mahomet”, lecz „Jezus czy Koran”. Tradycja islamska w swej większości opowiada się za odwiecznym wymiarem Koranu: istnieje jeden wieczny Pra-Koran, który został potem objawiony prorokowi Mahometowi. Czy istnieje zatem „wpisanie” – czyli utworzenie księgi odwiecznego Słowa Bożego, czy też Wcielenie – ucieleśnienie Słowa? Spotkanie z islamem zmusza do podjęcia jeszcze innej, zasadniczej decyzji. Chodzi o opowiedzenie się albo za Bogiem, który pozostając w swej wzniosłej transcendencji przekazuje ludziom w swoim Słowie „tylko” swą wolę i „doprowadza” ją do szczęśliwego, błogosławionego wypełnienia, albo też za Bogiem, którego Słowo, pozostając transcendentne, zespala się z najgorętszej miłości aż do końca z naszym ludzkim losem.The discussion between Christianity and Islam should not be reduced to an alternative „Jesus or Muhammad”, but „Jesus or the Quran” Islamic tradition, in its majority, stresses the eternal dimension of the Quran: there is one eternal Pre-Quran, which was later revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Thus, is there „inscribing” – that is, the creation of the book of the eternal Word of God, or rather „incarnation”– the embodiment of the Word? Meeting with Islam compels to take yet another, fundamental decision. One has to opt either for a God who, remaining in his sublime transcendence, passes to people „only” his will in his Word and „leads” them to a happy, blessed fulfilment, or for a God whose Word, remaining transcendent, unites, out of the hottest love, with our human destiny until the end.
