Abstract

The changes occurring in the socio-economic life carry some dangers of imbalance the rules and truths, which human dignity is based on. It is more and more difficult for young people to be able to live and they escape in drug addiction. St. John Paul II highlighted a lot of times the role of the Church serving a human, which is its way. The Pope expressed the interest in the drug addiction problem and he encouraged priests and congregations to be concerned of addicted people. The pastoral work should go in two directions: prophylaxis and rehabilitation in the prevention of drug addiction. The cooperation of the following pedagogic subjects: family, school and the Church is essential.
