„Jestem miłością i miłosierdziem samym”. Samoobjawienie Boga w „Dzienniczku” św. Faustyny w kontekście samoobjawień biblijnych

Abstract

Artykuł podejmuje próbę teologicznej analizy formuły samoobjawieniowej Jezusa z „Dzienniczka” św. Faustyny: „Jestem miłością i miłosierdziem samym” (1273). Autor umieszcza ją w kontekście całej historii biblijnego objawienia Boga, konfrontując ją z obrazami miłości i miłosierdzia Boga Ojca oraz Jezusa Chrystusa w Starym i Nowym Testamencie. Wskazuje, że formuła ta nie jest wyłączną definicją Boga, lecz figurą retoryczną o charakterze egzystencjalnym i duszpasterskim, wyrażającą bliskość Jezusa względem grzesznika.

The article attempts a theological analysis of Jesus’ self-revelation formula from the “Diary” of St. Faustina: “I am love and mercy itself” (1273). The author places this statement within the broader context of the biblical history of God’s self-revelation, contrasting it with depictions of the love and mercy of God the Father and Jesus Christ in the Old and New Testaments. It argues that this formula is not an exclusive definition of God, but rather a rhetorical figure with existential and pastoral implications, expressing Jesus’ personal closeness to the sinner.
