The article presents the results of research aimed at assessing the effectiveness of pedagogical supervision in religion classes in schools. Pedagogical supervision, in accordance with applicable legislation, is exercised by school heads and official educational institutions as well as by Church institutions – departments of catechesis with inspectors. The study included the examination of assessment methods and instruments applied by those institutions, as well as feedback on the effectiveness of supervision and its reception by the school environment.
