The article aims to answer the question of how in the history of exegesis the statement of the Apostle Paul from 2 Cor 5:21a (“God made Christ a sin”) was interpreted. The article consists of several parts examining the issue chronologically. At the beginning the interpretation of 2 Cor. 5:21a by theologians of the Patristic era (esp. Origen, Cyril of Alexandria, Gregory of Nazianzus; Gregory of Nyssa, John Chrysostom, and Augustine of Hippo) was presented. Then, the interpretation by medieval theologians (esp. Anselm of Canterbury) was discussed. In the third stage the understanding of 2 Cor 5:21a by Martin Luther, Jan Calvin, and other theologians of the Reformation era has been examined. The last step is the presentation of the interpretation of 2 Cor 5:21a during the modern era. It has been noticed that contemporary exegetes refer to the results of the theologians who lived before. In the interpretation of 2 Cor 5:21a, the three most important tendencies can be distinguished. First of them sees here a reference to the incarnation of the Son of God, the second one — a reference to His death understood as a sacrifice for sin, and the third trend understands making Jesus sin in relation to the reality of sin that Jesus Christ faced.Pozycja „Love of Christ Compels Us” („Miłość Chrystusa przynagla nas”). 45 Międzynarodowa konferencja Międzynarodowej Wspólnoty Ekumenicznej. Kraków, 22-29 lipca 2019 rokuSadowski, Stanisław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)Pozycja Komunijna mistyka eklezjalna według Johna D. ZizioulasaJagodziński, Marek (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)The concept of “mysticism” was referred to the entire Church in the primitive Church, pointing to experiences shared by all its members, the sacraments, the liturgy and a special way of life. Every member of the Church was a mysticist. The Church did not know the opposition between office and spirit, institution and mysticism. Ecclesiology – including the institutional aspect – was not only connected with mystical experience, but also served to introduce in the mystery of Christianity. That is why ecclesial mysticism has its own characteristics and refers to the Church as the “Body of Christ,” the sacraments – especially baptism and the Eucharist, the “word” in relation to the sacrament, the exercise of the Church office and the practice of asceticism and monastic life. The mysticism of communion, however, requires from Christians not only proper theological reflection, but above all communal life and the search for personal holiness, which is to serve to the entire Church.Pozycja Ekumenizm o sprawiedliwym społeczeństwie. An important basis for such an answer are first the statements of the popes of the last forty years, and then Luther’s affirmation as a deeply religious personality. Further indications are provided by the results of historical research, which show that Luther was deeply rooted in the mystical theology of his time. This is evident in his way of practising theology, where his own experience of faith has become the leading source of theological understanding. Luther’s theology is existential one, and the doctrine of justification must also be seen in this perspective. For Luther, justification by faith was above all a living, spiritual experience in his personal relationship with God, which at the same time determined his theological reflection. Keeping in mind the controversial issues, it can be stated that Luther remained in his reforming intentions rooted in the Catholic tradition of faith. Luther is neither a heretic, nor does he have to be considered a hero of the faith — he is above all a reforming theologian, who has his place in the one Catholic Church.Pozycja Nasze odniesienie do braci niekatolików – miłość i uczciwość we wzajemnych relacjachRyś, Grzegorz (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)Pozycja Bibliografia pracowników Instytutu Ekumenicznego/Sekcji Ekumenizmu Instytutu Nauk Teologicznych KUL w 2019 rokuKopiec, Piotr (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)Pozycja Egzystencjalne spojrzenie na eschatologięKopiec, Piotr (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)Pozycja “Towards Justice and Peace”: Ecumenical PerspectivePérez, Andrés Valencia (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)The Christian churches collaborate in the eradication of everything that moves the presence of the Kingdom of God away from this world. A clear example has been the last assembly of the World Council Churches held in Busan, South Korea, where the concrete commitment was assumed by all the churches. This is expressed in the Unity Statement. Article discusses the theological context of the social thought of the ecumenical movement and it presents how this thought is exemplified by the World Council of Churches.Pozycja Dziękuję za spotkanie... Based on research about remembrance, reconciliation (and resilience), and on the partnership between Münster and Lublin, it suggests a curriculum of reconciliation oriented remembrance for common projects of ecumenical and transcultural dialogue by sharing experiences and by facilitating rituals, which make them sustainable.Pozycja Sulzer on the Makeup and Fate of SoulDrozdek, Adam (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)Sulzer, a pastor and also a member of the Berlin Academy of Sciences, presented the problem of the immortality of the soul in a naturalist setting. He claimed that the body is indispensable for the soul for its full functioning since without the body, the soul, although perfect, lacks the sensory material coming from the senses and also lacks self-awareness. The soul is one kind of elementary particles with which the creation is filled. In particular, the body, requires the seed which has the program of the orderly development of the body. Since the soul is immortal, virtuous life is necessary for its happy state after the death of the body and the incorporation in a new body.Pozycja Międzynarodowa konferencja naukowa „When We Look at Christ We See the World As It Is: Ecumenical Social Thought” („Kiedy Patrzymy na Chrystusa, widzimy świat takim, jaki jest: ekumeniczna myśl społeczna”). Kluczowe motywy luterskiej teologii w interpretacji współczesnych badaczy jego spuściznySojka, Jerzy (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)The article focuses on two topics of Martin Luther’s theology — his vision of God and the understanding of freedom of will. It does so through the prism of two contemporary interpretations of the Reformer’s theology prepared by Oswald Bayer and Hans-Martin Barth, reputable researchers of Martin Luther. Their analyses, which differ in their perspective and order, show the theology of Martin Luther as imbued with the radical vision of an almighty God and passive man who has no freedom of will regarding salvation. These reconstructions were inscribed in the diagnosis of key structures of Martin Luther’s theology by Albrecht Beutel: its rooting in the Christocentric interpretation of the Bible, its understanding in terms of the art of discrimination, and its basing on experience.Pozycja „Łaską… przez wiarę” – Lutra koncepcja usprawiedliwienia grzesznika. Perspektywa egzegetyczno-hermeneutycznaWojciechowska, Kalina (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)The article analyzes the issue of justification trough faith on the basis of the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification and two commentaries by Martin Luther — Lectures on Romans (1516) and Commentary on the Epistle to the Galatians (1535). The discussed aspects of justification are mentioned in the Joint Declaration in point 11: justification as forgiveness of sins (cf. Rom 3:23-25); as liberation from the dominating power of sin and death (Rom 5:12-21); as liberation from the curse of the law (Gal 3:10-14); as acceptance into communion with God: already now, but then fully in God’s coming kingdom (Rom 5:1f); and as unity with Christ and with his death and resurrection (Rom 6:5). Each of these aspects ends with a summary showing the similarities and differences between Luther’s approach to justification and the interpretation of the doctrine of justification in the Joint Declaration.Pozycja Waga prawna uzgodnień międzykościelnychNitkiewicz, Krzysztof (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)
