Pozycja Zakłócenia procesów mediacji i konceptualizacji podczas formowania wypowiedzi w teście Hermanna Rorschacha u rodziców mających chore na schizofrenię paranoidalną dzieckoHunca-Bednarska, Anna (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2008)Cognitive deficits are one of the most characteristic features of schizophrenia. They can also be observed in first-degree relatives of schizophrenic patients. The article attempts to answer the question whether disturbances in thought and perception appear in utterances of the parents of schizophrenic patients during the Hermann Rorschach test. 31 parent couples with schizophrenic children and 21 comparison subjects were examined. The level of J. E. Exner’s schizophrenic index (SCZI) was assessed for each examined person. The index takes into account the mediation process connected with the perceptive aspect in producing utterances and the process of conceptualization connected with thought processes and giving meaning to blots. The level of the index was elevated in the parents of schizophrenic children. As opposed to the comparison subjects their reactions were less adequate to blots (mediation process) and (especially mothers) displayed disturbances in the process of giving meaning to blots (the process of conceptualization). The differences between the mothers of schizophrenic children and control mothers were more explicit than the differences between the fathers of schizophrenic children and control fathers.Pozycja Zmiany w funkcjonowaniu rodziny po zachorowaniu dziecka na schizofrenięChuchra, Maria (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2008)In the contemporary world more and more people need psychiatric treatment. Among them a special group – because of family and social effects – is constituted by schizophrenic patients. The aim of the present article is to show the changes that occur in functioning of a family after a child in it falls ill with schizophrenia. Part I presents the attitudes and emotions that accompany the struggle with the illness, and Part II – the changes in the selected functions of the family. The author first of all focuses her considerations on the following functions: material-economic, procreative, sexual, recreation-social, emotional-expressive, tutelary, controlling, consumption and religious ones. Some of them are discussed more extensively, others are only pointed to. The basis of the paper mainly consists of articles both in Polish and English.
