Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2011)Various conceptions of teaching religion are being searched for in a modem catechesis didactics. Some researchers follow the modem didactic solutions while others prefer the traditional ones, based on the word. Only few choose an integral approach to the methodology of religious instruction presenting the process of learning by heart and active participation in the teaching-learning process as a didactic value. These discussions influence the conditions and the ways of accomplishing aims and tasks that are recommended in the new curriculum. In connection with it, the analysis made in this article aims at looking for an answer to such questions: how the process of acquiring information during religion lesson is presented in the new religion curriculum and to what extent the proposed methodological solutions show traditional or modem approach to a teaching-learning process during religion instruction. While seeking the answer, at first the term “acquiring information” is explained and next the proposed in the new catechesis core curriculum and new religion syllabus conditions and ways of executing the assumptions of the syllabus are analysed. Finally, the postulated areas of planning and the ways of executing the process of religion teaching where acquiring information does not exclude other methodological solutions but completes them creating an integral wholness, are shown.
