Pozycja Angelologia w opinii wybranych grup katechizowanychKulpaczyński, Stanisław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)The article that has a theoretical-empirical character makes the reader familiar with angelology as it is reflected in the opinion of selected groups of catechized secondary and high school students. In the theoretical part it shows the theological outline of angelology. mainly on the basis of the Holy Scriptures, Polish theological literaturę and the contents of selected handbooks for catechizing the students. The subjects’ opinions of angels are presented on the basis of empirical study results. making use of answers to 6 out of 16 review questions given by 856 subjects catechized in secondary and high schools. The sources of their knowledge about angels (mainly catechesis and the Holy Scriptures), their knowledge about the origin of angels (from God. from heaven...), the concept of the angel (God’s Servant, spiritual being...), roles played by angels in the Holy Scriptures (heralds of future events and God’s will...), the angels' present role (people’s protectors, Guardian Angels...) and the subjects’ suggestions concerning teaching angelology in catechesis (students ask for broader and more detailed information about angels). The catechized young people do not have too broad or detailed knowledge of angelology and they suggest that they should be taught about angels in a reliable and versatile way.Pozycja Bezrobocie wyzwaniem duszpasterskim dla Kościoła w PolsceMierzwiński, Bronisław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)The phenomenon of unemployment has become one of the main problems at the break of the Century almost all over the world. After 1989 in Poland it has assumed the dimensions ot social disaster. Nobody may be indifferent towards this phenomenon, its dimensions and consequences in the life of individuate, families and the society. Struggle against unemployment and counteracting its consequences belong to the basic duties of the state: the parliament, the government and the institutions that have been established for this goal. The mission of the Church does not consist in reforming the economy or creating new jobs. However, the Church may not remain indifferent towards the suffering of so many millions of people, of so many families affected by unemployment. It has to approach the contemporary world with the light of teaching based on Revelation, about man’s dignity, about the value of man’s work, about the need of social justice and solidarity of people. At the same time it has to give as much of its attention as possible to the drama of unemployment, giving actual aid to people affected by it. It has to work out a definite conception of pastorate for the unemployed and forms of the pastorate that will correspond to it. The Church’s social teaching, especially John Paul II’s documents and pronouncements of the Polish Episcopate of the recent years devoted to the problem of unemployment contain a moral evaluation of this painful phenomenon and they show the need of various forms of care of people and families affected by it. Pastorate of the unemployed is becoming one of the Church’s basic tasks in contemporary Poland. It activates both lay people and the clergy. It expresses the Church’s preferential option for the poor and fulfills its fundamental function, that is caritas.Pozycja Franciszek Drączkowski. Przyjaźń z Bogiem źródłem szczęścia. Fulfilling the pastoral function belongs to the Church’s important tasks. It is based on the example of Christ who assumed the shape of a servant (see Phil 2, 6) and came in order to serve Him (see Luke 22, 26). The pastoral function of the diocese and the parish consists – besides the serving character of the offices in those religious communities – also of an apostolic attitude assumed by all the members of God's People, of their sensitivity and care of efficient realization of the Church today and in the future as well as of charity work. Fulfilling the pastoral function is also connected with forming a genuine Christian community.Pozycja Giuseppe Morante. Una presenza-accanto. It points to the fact that any catechetic activity that leads to a new assessment of popular piety with respect to liturgy is a positive fact that agrees with experiencing Christian piety in the proper way. Catechesis has always been a privileged environment where numerous forms of popular piety met and developed. It has also contributed to working out proper relations between liturgy and popular piety, skillfully combining the two realities. At present the forms of popular piety may be an aid for achieving catechetic aims that contribute to a deeper understanding of the mystery of Christ. This is possible on condition that the forms of popular piety will agree with the spirit of liturgy, issue from it, and ultimately lead to it.Pozycja Kirche im 21. Jahrhundert. Vielfalt wird sein. Hrsg, von M. Kock. Stuttgart: Kreuz Verlag 2004 ss. 158.Przygoda, Wiesław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)Pozycja Kohabitacja jako wyzwanie duszpasterskiePyźlak, Grzegorz (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)Cohabitation has recently acquired the status of an alternative to marriage and family life. Two people of different sex live together as husband and wife but, although unhampered, do not contract marriage. In the Polish reality, living without establishing any relationship which would impose the duty of coping the basic social and moral responsibility, becomes more and more popular. Such a situation is a serious challenge faced by the ministry as the priests are expected to present a Christian marriage as a relationship based on the unconditional love and goodwill of the spouses. A tentative relationship does not guarantee a success in establishing a strong and steady contractual marriage because it does not satisfy the condition of the total giving oneself to the other person. The nature of a tentative relationship, in which the proper well-being of the partners is not taken into account, is against the substantial principle of marriage. The Church teaches about the nature of a Christian marriage - as constituted by God and. therefore, being sacramentai in essence. What is particularly stressed in regard to a Christian marriage is its worth and dignity, as well as the benefits and blessings which, through the marital bliss, are given to the family and to the whole society. The people who are responsive for the preparations of a young couple for their future maritai life, play a difficult and very significant role. The challenge the ministry faces is mainly educating people to make them understand the supernatural and timeless value of a Christian marriage.Pozycja Kompetencje emocjonalne nauczyciela religii jako warunek skutecznej katechizacji młodzieżyZellma, Anna (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)A religion teacher has the leading place among the factors conditioning efficient catechization of young people. His personality and pedagogical competence determine realizalion of the assumptions of religion teaching at school, at the same time determining the quality of his relations with the pupils. In the area of this educational-didactic influence a special place is occupied by the teacher’s ability to have insight into his own emotions and to express them in a mature way, as well as to understand affective States of the educated youths. The analyses undertaken in the article attempt obtaining an answer to the question: what kind of emotional compétence of a religion teacher conditions effective catechization of young people? In connection with the study problem formulated in this way the author tried to show the following items: 1) psychological-pedagogical characteristics of a religion teacher’s emotional competence; 2) usefulness of this competence in catechetic work with young people; 3) the influence of a religion teacher’s emotional awareness on efficiency of the process of catechization of young people. Attention was also paid to the possibilities of using emotional competence in the course of a religion lesson by the catechist.Pozycja Kronika Instytutu Pastoralno-Katechetycznego KUL za rok akademicki 2003/2004Kiciński, Andrzej (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)Pozycja Ks. Also the issue of fundamental attitudes towards oneself and towards other people as well as the types of life script are discussed.Pozycja Misje „ad gentes” w kontekście religii pozachrześcijańskich w świetle posoborowej teologiiKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)The author tackles the issue of crisis of missions caused by the Council breakthrough connected with recognition of the salutary value of non-Christian religions by the Church. He shows the various attitudes theologians have taken to the problem – the inclusivist one, the exclusivist one, and the pluralist one. In the final part of the article he presents the documents of the Church undertaking the problem of salvation in Christianity and in other religions that help missionaries form a proper view of non-Christian religions.Pozycja Odnowa kerygmatu chrześcijańskiego w kulturze globalizmuGoliszek, Piotr Tomasz (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)The phenomenon of globalization appears to be an inevitable and irreversible proeess in contemporary social-cultural conditions. Hence there is a need to form solidary, brotherly and socially creative principies shaping this phenomenon. Preaching the contents of the kerygma and fulfilling the fonction of mankind’s conscience the Church has a possibility of influencing the course of the globalization processes on the basis of its universal mission and the social-ethical Systems of values. In this dialog between kerygma and the contemporary global culture the atmosphere is born of growing unity with the perspective of Gospel, which awakens optimism and hope.Pozycja Ogólnopolskie sympozja katechetyczne i katechetyczne sesje naukowe w KUL jako odpowiedź na aktualne wyzwaniaMąkosa, Paweł (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)Pozycja Pielgrzymowanie drogą nawróceniaRobek, Edmund (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)Development of the pilgrimage movement in the Roman-Catholic Church is connected, among others, with John Paul II’s numerous apostolic journeys. It is estimated that a total of over 220 million people a year take part in pilgrimages; and about 150 million of them (nearly 70%) are Christians. It is thought that in Europe alone about 30 million Christians, most of them Catholics, devote their vacations to making pilgrimages. Pilgrimages are a living image of the Church going on a pilgrimage to God the Father's home, and a particular expression of searching for God's presence. The target of pilgrimages are places, in which God grants his grace to people, and people experience the sacrum. It is just this aim that distinguishes pilgrims from travelers and tourists. Pilgrimage is also the image of the way of conversion and often it actually becomes such a way for the pilgrim. Going to a sanctuary a pilgrim covers the way from realizing his own sin and the bonds imposed on him by illusive and useless things, to achieving inner freedom and a deeper understanding of the meaning of life. The pilgrimage movement that is dynamically developing at present, is a certain opportunity of enlivening the Church’s salutary activities. However, it sets requirements to both the very pilgrims and priests who organize pilgrimages and offer service in the sanctuaries. A pilgrimage achieves its aim when it helps a man to experience God's presence, helps him to be converted and to live according to the requirements of evangelic love.Pozycja Posługa charytatywna Kościoła w świetle dokumentów II Polskiego Synodu PlenarnegoPrzygoda, Wiesław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)II Polish Plenary Synod (1991-1999) emphasized taking care of people who are in need as one of the priority forms of pastoral activity of the Church in Poland, devoting to this issue a separate document under the title The Church’s Charity Service. The need for the Church’s care of the needy was also stressed in other synodal documents. They show the theological foundations of charity service, Contemporary manifestations of poverty in the Polish society, and the priority areas of charity service of the Polish Church. II Polish Plenary Synod included care of poor families, of sick, old and handicapped people, as well as aid to social misfits, especially alcoholics, drug addicts and prisoners, into the leading areas of charity service of the Church in Poland. The article shows forms of conducting charity service in the mentioned areas. The reflection is based on both Polish and foreign literature, as well as on review studies conducted by the author in 2001 among parish priests and lay Catholics in Poland.
