    The main theses of this article is the conviction that spirituality of our times is often similar to spirituality of Pelagius. In the beginning of the Vth century pelagianism by his doctrine about original sin and grace tried to be stow upon Christianity antropocentric and naturalistic character. Then St Augustine in his various scriptures and sermons defended pure teaching of Church. The author recapitulates Augustine’s polemics and dimonstrates its preasent day interest. He describes contrary theological methods of pelagianism and St Augustine too (from Adam to Christ - from Christ to Adam).

    An article is a proof of the description of the Polish studies on the relation sacrum - literature. It gives a historical background of these studies and analysis of the meaning words sacrum and profanum. It is rather doubtful that opposition sacrum - profanum is real and is correct for the selfunderstanding of Christianity. The main part of the article reviews diverse conceptions of the relation sacrum - literature in Poland (esp. Irena Stawińska and Stefan Sawicki).

    Dwóch biskupów kamieńskich z rodu von Sachsen-Lauenburg (Jan I i Magnus)

    John I (1317-1370) from prince’s house of Sachsen-Lauenburg. Being an archdeacon of Dymin (Demmin) he became on 3rd of September 1343 an ordinary bishop of St John Baptist’s see in Kamień (Canmin). The most part of his rule he devoted to fighting for pope’s exemption for Kamień diocese. Those struggles and legal proceedings in the Papal Curia were going on in two periods: from 1343 to 1349 and from 1360 to 1380. Finally pope’s exemption was granted to Kamień bishopric on 13 th of July, 1380 by pope Urban V (after the death of bishop John I). He actively participated in local dynastic conflicts with the thought o f creation a separate bishop’s principality (with capital in Kamień) as a direct feoff of the Reich. His efforts in this field was ended in failure and he had to submit to native princes again. Bishop John I was a prominent organizer and manager of lands of his diocese. Under his rules many chantries were endowed and a lot of churches were built or restored. In forty years after his death, the close relative of bishop John - Magnus von Sachsen-Lauenburg, was nominated to episcopal capital in Kamień. Magnus (d. 1452) was bishop of Kamień at difficult times during the threefold papal schism and Council in Constance. In 1424 he had left Kamień and took up bishopric in Hildesheim (Lower Saxony).

    Förderer oder Gegner der Modernisierung? Die Rolle der Kirche in Polen

    Uściślając terminy można przyjąć, że „przemiana” jest pojmowana jako to wszystko, co służy przywracaniu utraconej harmonii. Punktem odniesienia dla tej harmonii jest prawo Boże. Jest to odpowiadanie na pytanie w stylu Jeremiasza: „Tak mówi Pan: »Przystańcie na drogach i patrzcie, pytajcie się o odwieczne ścieżki, która jest drogą do dobrego«” (6,16). Jest to wytyczna także dla „polskiej drogi”, bowiem struktura państwa powinna koniecznie uwzględniać tradycje narodu. Należałoby wiedzieć historyczny udział Kościoła w „modernizacji” jako: (1) okres obrony praw człowieka, (2) okres pośredniczenia między społeczeństwem a władzą totalitarną i wreszcie (3) czas „impulsów”, które mają swe źródło we wskazywaniu-przypominaniu wartości, na których należy oprzeć idee „nowe”. We wszystkich tak postrzeganych okresach Kościół polski nie brał sobie za cel bycia opozycją wobec państwa; realizował tylko prawdę podstawową: „Drogą Kościoła jest każdy człowiek” i „Kościół nie może odstąpić człowieka” - i w ten sposób w rzeczywistości stawał się opozycją wobec władzy komunistycznej, pełniąc „z konieczności” także zastępczą działalność społeczno-polityczną. Generalnie można by określić najpilniejsze zadanie jako przeciwdziałanie postępującej sekularyzacji, tzn. stylowi życia „etsi Deus non daretur”. Skutecznym sposobem przeciwdziałania takiemu upragnionemu przez wielu (?) „zachodniemu” stylowi życia jest „wiedza na miejsce niewiedzy” (socjalizacja permanentna), najpierw w rodzinie i wszelkich formach duszpasterstwa specjalistycznego, doskonaląc równocześnie żywe duszpasterstwo masowe. Doskonalenie to wymaga cią¬głego podkreślania priorytetu zasad moralnych i istotnej roli sumienia ukształtowanego na podstawie obiektywnych prawd moralnych oraz zapobieganie subiektywizmowi religijnemu. Wyznaczaniu tych wszystkich kierunków służby II Synod Plenarny, otwarty 8 czerwca 1991 roku przez papieża Jana Pawła II, który trwać ma do r. 1997, upamiętąjącego tysięczną rocznicę śmierci św. Wojciecha. Synod to forum dla określenia zadań Kościoła w demokratycznej Polsce i kierunków kształtowania świadomości eklezjalnej. Kościół w Polsce w imię swojej tradycji światopoglądowej ma prawo brać udział w demokratycznej debacie społeczeństwa jako jego pełnoprawny, w niczym nie uprzywilejowany, ale i też nie dyskryminowany uczestnik. Pozytywną rolę na tym polu może odegrać odważny i kompetentny rozwój prasy, rozgłośni katolickich, stacji telewizyjnych i bibliotek, co oznacza lepsze otwarcie się na współczesną myśl teologiczną.

    Wykład „Św. Łukasz duszpasterzem chorych” został wygłoszony 19 X 1991 r. w Berlinie w obecności kapelanów szpitalnych i służby zdrowia. We wprowadzeniu autor mówi o związkach łączących Łukasza z Pawłem, a szczególnie o cierpieniach przeżytych przez Pawła, któremu towarzyszył współtowarzysz podróży św. Łukasz. Paweł przeżywał swoje własne cierpienia na wzór Chrystusa - w sposób zastępczy za nas. Łukasz zaś, w odróżnieniu od Pawła, akcentuje wzorcowy i przykładny aspekt cierpienia. W I części zostaje ukazana specyfika Ewangelii Łukasza, która usiłuje dać odpowiedź na pytanie: „kto jest prawdziwym chrześcijaninem?” Aby być chrześcijaninem, nie wystarczy tylko wierzyć w naukę Chrystusa i przyznawać się do Jego Kościoła. Być chrześcijaninem - to żyć w duchu Chrystusa i obrać sobie Jezusa, cierpiącego Sługę Pańskiego, za wzorzec i model. Specyfika Ewangelii Łukasza, to zadanie współodkupienia, do którego został powołany każdy chrześcijanin, zobowią-zany do życia w duchu cierpiącego Sługi Pańskiego. U Pawła chrześcijanin cierpi dla Chrystusa, jak Chrystus cierpiał za niego. Zaś u Łukasza Jezus cierpi z Kościołem, aby Kościół cierpiał z Nim jako współodkupicielka. II część rozważa eklezjalny charakter dzieła Łukasza. Cierpienia są warunkiem współodkupienia świata. Ukazuje to najlepiej „Katechizm doskonałego chrześcijanina” w „Wielkiej podróży do Jerozolimy”. Nie wystarczy fizyczne chodzenie za Jezusem. Należy wędrować z Jezusem w duchu cierpiącego Sługi Pańskiego. Wyraża to termin symporeuomai, który oznacza Kościół. III część ukazuje Łukasza jako „Ewangelistę Ducha Świętego” Prawdziwy chrześcijanin to ten, który idzie z Jezusem w duchu cierpiącego Sługi Pańskiego. Modlitwa i Duch Święty zajmują w Ewangelii Łukasza szczególne miejsce. Poprzez modlitwę człowiek jednoczy się w Duchu Świę¬tym z Bogiem Ojcem w niebie, podobnie jak Jezus. Ukazują to przykłady modlitwy w Ewangelii Łukasza i Dziejach Apostolskich. IV część ukazuje Łukasza jako duszpasterza. Chrześcijanin na wzór Chrystusa musi wiele wycierpieć, by wejść do chwały. Człowiek, grzesznik jest powołany do nawrócenia, nawet w godzinie śmierci. Odgrywa tutaj szczególną rolę duszpasterstwo służby zdrowia. W zakończeniu zostaje jeszcze raz podana specyfika trzeciego Ewangelisty i jego Ewangelii o współodkupieniu i uczestnictwie chrześcijanina poprzez cierpienia w tym dziele.

    Miejsce człowieka na tle współczesnej nauki

    Auf der Basis der modernen Wissenschaft, der ungleichwiegenden Thermodynamik, versprechend zeichnet sich das Bild des Menschen. Die Wiedererlangung des „verlorenen Paradieses”, das ist der allgemeinen Harmonie, verwirklicht sich durch Einschränkung der noch dominierenden Prinzipien der Dynamik Newton’s und durch Hervorheben der Entwicklungsphenomenen, die mit Instabilität und mit Zeit verbunden sind. Durch Erweichung der kartesianisch - newtonoischen Einschränkungen, anstatt eines Automat - Menschen stellt sich ein geistiger Mensch ein, der mit der äußeren Welt und mit sich selbst vereint ist.

    Miejsce kultury w badaniach teologicznych

    Dans cet article nous avons voulu exposer les trois étapes principales de la réflexion téologique sur la culture. Notre analyse concerne donc une période préconciliaire et les idées élaborées surtout par J. Maritain, N. Bierdiaeff et R. Guardini. Le temps du Concile Vatican II, c’est tout d’abord le travail des Peres ainsi que des experts, et le cheminement vers la rédaction ultime du chapitre consacré a la culture dans la Constitution Pastorale. Les orientations postconciliaires se focalisent sur les questions de l’historicité et de l’universalité de la culture, ainsi que sur la responsabi lité et de la solidarité dans ce domaine. Elles concernent également des chrétiens et non-chrétiens. La culture constitue une partie intégrale de la vocation de l’homme. Elle est aussi un instrument indispensable anisi que le fruit de l’évangélisation, elle cherche encore sa juste place dans la réfléxion théologique comme Vicaria Hominis.

    Natura zjednoczenia upodabniającego w doktrynie św. Jana od Krzyża

    II termine „unione” sembra piuttosto astratto e poco usato attualmente nella spiritualità. Neppure ai tempi di Giovanni della Croce era frequente. Invece nelle opere del Santo si trova quasi in tutte le pagine. Il nostro Autore lo ha scelto consapevolmente, perchè risponde alla sua esperienza e comprensione della comunione dell’uomo con Dio, o meglio di Dio coll’uomo. Nell’espressione „unione” viene condensata la realtà di tutta l’esistenza umana: comunione dell’amore di Dio con l’unione di somiglianza o soprannaturale – secondo Giovanni della Croce - „si ha quando le due volontà, quella dell’anima e quella di Dio, sono pienamente conformi perchè non v’è cosa nell’una che ripugni all’altra. In tal modo, se l’anima si libererà da ciò che non è conforme e ripugna alla volontà di Dio, rimarrà trasformata in Dio per amore” (S. II, 5,3). L’essenza dell’unione è una trasformazione dell’uomo in Dio per amore (cf. C. 22,5).

    Problematyka badań psychologicznych dotyczących małżeństwa

    The first research papers concerning psychology of marriage discussed the problems of marital happiness, success, satisfaction (Hamilton, Terman), the expectation of success or failure (Burgess, Cottrell), or adaptation in marriage (Nye, Bayer). Since the publication of these papers, tere has been a chaos in the nomenclature. Several attempts have been made to determine the „quality” of marriage. It is this term - quality - Spanier and Lewis proposed to cover all the terms used previously: adaptation, satisfaction, success, hapiness, integration. In the 1960s attempts to construct a marriage theory started to be made (Hill, Hansen) and were continued by Broderick, Burr, Hill, Nye, Reiss. Work has been carried out on systems theory (Wedemeyer, Grotevant) and the theory of symbolic interactionism (Berger, Kellner), as well as studies concerning interaction in marriage, the formation of relations between husband and wife, the stability of marriage, openess of husband and wife, family planing and family crises. Attempts have also been made at typologies of marriage (Lederer, Jackson, Shostrom, Kavanaugh, Neill). Polish socio-psychologic literature considers problems of transformations of marriage, models of marriage, conditions formarital success, preparation for life in marriage, as well as problems of marital love, the stability of marriage, sexual relations, natural delivery and upbringing of children.

    L'avvenire dell’umanità passa attraverso la famiglia. Con queste parole Giovanni Paolo II nell’Esortazione Familiaris consortio esprìme la coscienza della Chiesa sull’importanza che la famiglia riveste per il futuro del mondo. É una coscienza che oggi è divenuta più chiara e più forte, perchè più numerosi sono i perìcoli e più gravi le ferite che l’istituto familiare ha subito nel processo della transformazione della società e della cultura. La famiglia, diventando la sorgente del rinnovamento della società e della Chiesa, deve ritornare al principio, al disegno originario di Dio sull’uomo e sulla donna, creati a sua immagine e arricchiti della fondamentale vocazione all’amore, che nel matrimonio e nella famiglia trova una sua specifica realizzazione; deve ritornare al principio, perchè scoprire non solo la sua identità, ciò che essa „è”, ma anche la sua „missione”, ciò che essa può e deve „fare”. Risalire al principio - dice Giovanni Paolo II - del gesto creativo di Dio è allora una necessità per la famiglia, se vuole conoscersi e realizzarsi secondo l’interiore verità non solo del suo essere ma anche del suo agire storico (FC 17).

    Ruch „Światło – Życie” a parafialna rzeczywistość

    After the II Vatican Council appeared two new phenomenons: religion lessons at schools and admition for help in distribution of Holy Communion. These are particular assigments which Church charge to laics. The proposition of the Parish Deacony Seminary work out the programme preparing and initiating the faithful to active engagement in the life of Church on different levels and in different services. The parish reality in most of cases differs from represented solutions. Exist the necessity of collaboration between organisations and movements in parishes. Its create anecessity of existence of Pastorales Councils. Only this way will be possible realisation of the II Vatican Council’s vision, of the parish as a community of communities.

    Wpływ dzieciństwa na późniejsze życie człowieka

    The first significant works on this subject come from the 1920s. It was then that Taegie and Anderson came to conclusion, that deviations in the behaviour of adults can be traced back to family relationships in their childhood. Research focused’on the results of wrong parental attitudes (Symonds) and lack of maternal care (Bolwby, Spitz). The biggest problems were found to be posed by children coming from child - unfriendly families, hostile, non-accepting and inflicting severepunishments, or from ones indiferent to the child (Lewicki). These children show lack of capacity for permanent emotionalties, no perseverance, changeability of plans. They may also turn out to be social misfits (Ziemska). Observations were made on effects of child’s isolations from his interrelations between mother and child, as well as the influence of the absence of the father on child’s development. The results of the research show that childhood experiences, the presence or absence of the parents, their behaviour, and especially their emotional attitudes, the quality of their feelings and the way they Tevealed them, exert a significant influence on an adult’s psyche.

    S. Thomas commentans Aristotelem firmavit suam doctrinam politicam in principiis psychologiae et ontologiae. Quorum excerpit notionem „rationis”, désignas „ordinem” sicut objectum ei rationi respondens. Haec ratio quaerìt ordinem in mundo constitutum, eadem introducit ordinem in actus ab homine faciendos. Hic, sicut ratio practica, appétit bonum et diversa bona distinguens pervenit ad summum bonum, percipiens relationem transcendentalem actus humani ad regulam morum seu ad „legem”. Ex hac lege aeterna dimanant consequenter leges propiores: naturalis, humana, positiva Divina vel humana. Inde lex civilis non est donatio homini a civitate largita, sed suam rationem in lege aetema habend eandem respicere debet. Quod non diminuit auctoritatem societatis civilis, sed civibus obligationem in conscientia augens etiam confirmât. Eo modo Philosophia Perennis in confusionem doctrinarum ordinem inducit et mentis modemie valde utilis esse videtur.
