As there are no appropriate medical means, a common opinion dominates that the only protective measure is to use condoms. The Catholic Church does not agree with it. The Church stresses this measure damages the personal dignity of man and humiliates him. The protest of the Church is at the same time based on the unreliability of this measure (13-15%). The author quotes abundant medical literature. Furthermore, the condom is disqualified by its influence on sexual behaviour. It is propagated as a means designed to protect against HIV. thereby creating a kind of mentality that condones with the development of infection. People start to belittle the risk of infection, lose their vigilance, and, eventually, forget about the virus itself. They cease to avoid dangerous behaviour, do take the risk of infection seriously, do notice they are infected, and infect other people. The Catholic Church stresses that the proper manner to overcome the danger of HIV today is to give up sexual contacts in the pre-marital period, mutual loyalty of the spouses living in an exclusive and permanent relationship. This position is confirmed by the most recent reports on the success of fighting HIV/AIDS in Uganda (studies by Edward C. Therefore the Eucharist appears to be the source and at the same time the climax of all evangelisation. The Church draws grace and supernatural power from the Eucharist, hence it should persist in Eucharistic life and develop spiritually in “the climate of the Eucharist” (RH 20). The new man in Christ, the subject of new evangelisation, should tend to sacramental communion: supernatural communion with God and with people through the practising of the virtues of faith, hope, and love. The Polish government organized a series of debates with the specialists of microbiology, ethicists of different kind of ethics, moral theologians, representatives of the Catholic Church and other religious communities, politicians and journalists. The goal was to work out a common position concerning the new potential treatment: the use of embryonic stem-cells. However, the debates showed clearly, that no agreement is possible, as a procurement of ESC is necessarily connected with the destruction of an embryo. The fact that it is now undervalued results from a mistaken understanding and makes us seeks not only its true meaning, but also new means of expression and new modes of its realisation. The contemporary context for the attitude of patriotism is determined, above all, by the unifying of societies. Therefore there are many who to excuse their abandonment of the love for their homeland on behalf of uniformity. In the teaching addressed to his compatriots Poles John Paul II points, above all. to the duty of prayer for their homeland and to their various commitment on behalf of the common good. Patriotism is expressed in a series of other particular attitudes, such as: the knowledge of history, tradition, culture, or even attachment to native landscapes. Man should be brought up for this kind of attitude by his milieu. It stems from the marital covenant, and is founded in the sacrament of marriage. Reference to this interpretative key ensures a more complete anthropology of the person and gift in the marital fellowship. In the interpretation of communio personarum one cannot stop at the anthropological-ethical perspective, but should be completed with the theological perspective. Marriage is not only a covenant of a couple of people between each other, but is also their covenant with the Persons of the Trinity. In the Christian vision of marital communion one should not lose the truth about man's sinfulness. Sin has destroyed the primeval harmony in man, and thereby between people. Instead of the spousal love there appears temptation and desire to rule. Due to sinfulness, man is not able, of his own might, to build a marital communion. Although sin has made it that the building of the communion of persons in marriage becomes a difficult task, God's plan in relation to marriage has not changed and is still valid. The redemptive grace brings back the fullness and perfection to the primary anthropological truth about marriage. Presenting marriage in this historical-salvific perspective allows to show both the gift of salvation and moral obligations that result from it. The sacrament of marriage is inherently linked with every other sacrament. In this study the role of the Eucharist has been shown in the building of marital communio personarum. Both marriage and the Eucharist are testimonies of the incomprehensible love of God. Not only does He call people, but also makes them capable of a covenant with Him. Both sacraments may be most fully comprehended in their spousal dimension. In the Eucharist spouses not only accept Christ, but also Christ accepts each of them. The author analyses first the calling to revival as it is contained in DFK 16, pointing to such aspects as: the need and understanding of revival; maintaining a learned character; a more profound approach to the Bible; the perspective of vocation – in the spirit of Christocentrism: the central character of love; morality in the service of salvation. Showing the basic features of revived moral theology, the author goes on to discuss the so-called anthropological turn. He has presented the concrete attributes – indicators of revival – along two complementary levels. Moral theology as a science about morality is taken in the spirit of personalism together with the enhancement of the communal dimension. Moral theology as a theological science today, however, takes into account above all the Christocentric (Christonomic), and also the Trinitarian and pneumatological re-orientation, completed by ecclesial-sacramental trend. All this points to the historical-salvific approach to Christian morality. The author believes that one should look at the revival of moral theology from the perspective of the encyclical Veritatis splendor, in which John Paul II stresses both achievements and confusing phenomena connected with the pursuit of this discipline. The encyclical is not a closure of post-councillor revival but rather an invitation to further perfection of moral theology.Pozycja Trynitarny fundament życia moralnegoDerdziuk, Andrzej (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)The paper seeks to show the mystery of the Holy Spirit as a foundation of moral life of the Christian. Analysing the history of theology, the author notes that having dogmatised the truth about the mystery of the Trinity, a new epoch was commenced in the Church, i.e. this mystery is more and more often omitted in the moral life of Christians. This has brought about a clash between the practice of life and the considerations of theologians. Once we set on the quest after the revival of moral theology we need to discover anew the inspiring vision of the Triune God. This vision is a point of reference in understanding the world and gives the best key for the mystery of man. Pointing to a necessity of a revived study of theological-moral problems in the Trinitarian approach, the author has numbered those domains in which should be shown in their more profound link with the mystery of the Holy Trinity. They are as follows: the sacramental life, the question of understanding the person and social lite, and a vision of the Church, practices of virtues and the life of prayer. It is essential to refer the theology of creation to the mystery of the Trinity.
