Pozycja Bibliografia pracowników Instytutu Ekumenicznego KUL w 2018 rokuKopiec, Piotr (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Pozycja Dialogical Catholicity of the ChurchPorada, Rajmund (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The Church’s catholicity is confessed by almost all Churches in the Christian Creed. However, as a result of historical divisions within Christianity, this attribute of the Church has often adopted confessional and narrow interpretations. The ecumenical activities are aimed at restoring the Catholic fullness and, therefore, the understanding of catholicity or the Catholic fullness of the Church must be closely related to the understanding of ecumenism. The article attempts to justify the thesis that catholicity of the Church, by its nature, has a dialogical dimension. It results from the constant tension between the multiplicity of ecclesial identities and the unity of the one people of God as an objective of ecumenism. The ecumenical way, however, does not omit the specificity of the confessional identity, but it demands recognition of the legitimate multiplicity and diversity of forms of expressing one Christian faith. According to the assumptions of the ecumenical hermeneutics, various ecclesial traditions should be interpreted in the light of what unites and not what divides, and the elements belonging to the ecumenically-, that is dialogically-oriented catholicity, should be noticed and recognised.Pozycja Działalność naukowa Instytutu Ekumenicznego KUL w 2018 rokuKantyka, Przemysław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Pozycja Idolatria kapitalizmu w perspektywie teologii luterańskiejKopiec, Piotr (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)One of the most common sociological convictions is the Weber’s thesis about the genetic relationship between Protestantism and capitalism. The proliferation of this thesis at times leads to false premises as for instance the opinion that the capitalist social order has emerged from the Luther’s theology. The article aims to answer the question of Luther’s contribution to capitalism, it also shows the crucial theological aspects of the Luther’s teaching on economic order. Furthermore, it presents specific and widely spread views which considers capitalism in the religious perspective: that of Walter Benjamin and that of Max Weber.Pozycja Komunijno-trynitarna pozycja Ducha ŚwiętegoJagodziński, Marek (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)In the New Testament, you can see the beginnings of Trinitarian pneumatology, which began to develop in the changing context of the cultural world. The view of the Holy Spirit in the perspective of Trinitarian love was of great importance here. The communion dimension also had teaching about Filioque. From the Middle Ages, a process of forgetting the Holy Spirit began in the West and it was only in newer theology that a renaissance in pneumatology was possible thanks to the integration of theological reflection and spiritual experience, in particular, thanks to the new awakening of the Church’s sense of unification in a manner of communion that emboldened outstanding theologians to undertake a penetrating search in pneumatology.Pozycja Między Bogiem, prawem i wolnościąJagodziński, Marek (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Pozycja „Narody i Kościoły: Ekumeniczna odpowiedź na nacjonalizm i migrację”. XX Konsultacje Akademickie Europejskiego Stowarzyszenia Badań Ekumenicznych Societas Oecumenica. Ludwigshafem, 23-28 sierpnia 2018 rokuKopiec, Piotr (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Pozycja Paleta teologii współczesnychJagodziński, Marek (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Pozycja Rozwój ewangelickiej oceny małżeństw mieszanychJaskóła, Piotr (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The text presents in a synthetic way the historical development of the Evangelical view on confessionally mixed marriages. The Catholic position is also taken into account in a comparative way. The problem was developed in four points: Different starting points (1), Theological and legal strategy of Evangelical Churches (2), pastoral strategy of Evangelical Churches (3), Evangelical-Catholic marriage in the light of the Official Pragmatics of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in the Republic of Poland (4). The main conclusion was that today the Evangelical Churches are more concerned that theological and legal solutions to problems related to mixed marriages do not destabilize the lives of the married couple and the family.Pozycja So What? Some Experiences of Secularism in the Netherlands and My Own Way to Handle It as a Local PastorGosker, Margriet (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The article consists of three parts. In the introduction, it is stated that there are a lot of different ideas and theories about secularism, and some short highlights are given, positively as well as negatively. In Poland, secularism is different from secularism in the Netherlands, one of the most secularized countries in Western Europe. In the second part, the author shows how, as a local pastor, she experienced secularism during the last five decades: indifference, loss of commitment and biblical knowledge, also concerns about office bearers, closing of churches, the loss of feeling for the sacramental life of the church, closing of several theological faculties, etc. On the other hand, the positive side of secularism is not only about more authenticity and elasticity in the Church (less obligatory duties), but also the abolition of slavery, more freedom for women and children and more freedom for minorities. In the third part, the author shows how we take up new challenges, including new forms of episkopè, pioneer places and the music event of the Passion. She closes with some open questions waiting for answers. The answers are very important for the ecumenical movement as a whole.Pozycja Some Trajectories on the Question of Ordination in Ecclesial Communities of the Reformed TraditionScerri, Hector (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)This article seeks to focus upon the situation regarding the question of ordained ministry within some of the Churches and Ecclesial Communities belonging to the Reformed Tradition. The central issue is that regarding the validity of ordination. The background to the genesis of the disagreement on the priesthood is described, as well as the attempts made to reach a consensus. The question regarding Anglican Orders is highlighted as a case study. This research suggests the usefulness of a scholarly ressourcement in the study of the validity of Orders. A possible path is proposed, towards the mutual understanding between the separated Churches on the question of ordination. This path follows the trajectory of the agreement, in 2001, on the common use of the anaphora of Addai and Mari by two separated Churches in the Middle East, and the subsequent eucharistic hospitality. Other recent conversations are referred to in the attempt to reach agreement, while recognising that specific obstacles do offer a major setback. The article is concluded by a number of concrete proposals.Pozycja Sprawiedliwość ekologiczna. Programy Światowej Rady Kościołów na rzecz zachowania środowiska naturalnegoKantyka, Przemysław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The article describes the socio-ecological programs of the World Council of Churches (WCC) enclosed in the so-called ‘ecological justice.’ The first of the three great program groups is the Ecumenical Water Network. In these programs, WCC analyzes the dependence of people’s quality of life on access to water and sanitation. The group of programs defined as Care for Creation and Climate Justice focuses on human co-responsibility for God’s gift of creation, which should lead to counteracting adverse climate change. The WCC documents also refer here to the so-called ‘ecological debt’ and the concept of ‘sustainable development.’ The third group of programs in the area of ‘eco-justice’ are those concerning the interdependence of Poverty, Wealth and Ecology. They indicate the impact on the natural environment of the effects of robbery resource management, serving to satisfy excessive consumption.Pozycja Światłość niestworzona w refleksji teologicznej Metropolity Surożskiego Antoniego (Blooma)Saszko, Irena (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The present article concerns the theological reflection of Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh (Bloom) on the subject of the Uncreated Light. At the moment of the fall of our first parents, man lost the ability to participate directly and fully in the uncreated Energies of the Divine Light and for this reason he can only know the mystery of God “in twilight,” that is in an apophatic manner. From the fact of the creation of the human person in the image and likeness of God, it follows that in every man there is the germ of the Divine Light. Thanks to the relationships of love with our fellow men, we are able to discover this Light on their faces. The whole Church shines with the Uncreated Light, because it is the place of the direct presence of God among His people. In the liturgical celebrations of the Orthodox Church, especially in Lauds and Vespers, the faithful anticipate the full participation in the Uncreated Light, which will be their part at the end of time.Pozycja The Ethos of God and Man in the Christos Yannaras’ WorksLeśniewski, Krzysztof (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The revelation of the truth about God as Trinity has a direct impact on the identity and condition of the human person. Personhood implies relationship which is inseparably connected with ethos. This article examines the essence of the ethos of God, as He is understood in the Christian tradition, and the ethos of human person created in the image and likeness of God on the basis of the theological thought of the very famous Greek Orthodox religious thinker, Christos Yannaras (born in 1935). The truth that God acts in a personal manner is a very important presupposition for the understanding of the personal identity and ethos of human being. Solely in the relation to God Who is the Trinity of the Most Holy Persons our human ethos can be free from a deceptive vision of existential self-denial and individualistic ethics and morality.Pozycja “Unity ‒ the Challenge of Your History”: John Paul II and Czech EcumenismSvatoň, Robert (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The present text focuses on the appeals of John Paul II regarding Czech Ecumenism. It does so in three steps: first, it offers general characteristics of Wojtyła’s understanding of ecumenism; then it outlines the social and ecclesiastic context in which the Pope’s calls for Christian unity in the Czech Republic were received during the 1990s; and, finally, it presents three topics of the Pope’s most important ecumenical appeals. The chosen method allows us to see how the universally-applicable principles of John Paul II’s ecumenical efforts were manifested in his specific pastoral concerns about the local Church and Christian unity in Bohemia and Moravia.Pozycja Weltethos, neuer Atheismus und christliche IdentitätSzentpétery, Péter (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)The Global Ethic Project is closely connected to the name of its founder, Hans Küng (1928). It is based on the fact that in different religions there are similar commandments which all can be summed up by the Golden Rule. The first part introduces the project itself. It was mainly criticized because it extends the western Christian notion of humanity to other religions, too. This is dealt with in the second part. Hans Küng wants to involve not only the believers but also the atheists, agnostics etc. because Global Ethic is primarily of ethical character. That is why the author focuses on two high-impact works of two prominent representatives of the so-called new atheists in quest for an answer to the question to what extent they fit in with the Project. He finally sums up the conclusions in eight theses.
