VI Światowy Dzień Młodzieży Częstochowa ’91 Spotkanie Młodych Wschodu i Zachodu
Duda, Marian (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
World Youth Day, which is a project of evangelization of John Paul II to the young people at the end of the Second and Third Millennium of Christianity, also has its place in Poland. It was held on 10 – 15 August 1991 at Jasna Gora in Czestochowa. John Paul II wanted it to have the special nature due to the time in which it was held: the victory of “Solidarity in Poland”, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the liberation of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe from the yoke of communism. That is why the Pope wanted to make it “the historic meeting between the youth of the Churches of the East and the West”. Responsibility for the organization of this historic event laid on the Church Organizing Committee of the Sixth World Youth Day, working together with provincial and municipal committees, and the Pontifical Council for the Laity in Vatican. This article presents a synthesis of the whole of the biggest organizational efforts of this committee, both at the initial stage (the basic concept of the organization), as well as at the stage of basic organizational work (the logistics of the operation, with particular emphasis on hosting young people from the East.) The course of 6th WYD in its essential points, as a specific result of organizational efforts, was also briefly discussed. In conclusion, the importance of the message that 6th WYD carries to the contemporary evangelizing mission of the Church, especially to young people, was highlighted.

Działalność piśmiennicza bp. Stefana Bareły w latach 1945 – 1984
Kapuściński, Jacek (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
Within the wide range of cultural activities of Bp. Stefan Bareła the writing activity occupied a special place. It reached content-wise a high level, thus his scientific background and the continuous improvement of his workshop were significant. Works that he wrote, not including administrative writing (decrees and orders), were created between 1945- 1984. They consisted of: scientific papers (21 publications in the field of moral theology, the theology of the inner life, canon law and Church history), pastoral writings (172 publications in the form of addresses, pastoral letters, homilies, sermons, speeches, proclamations, messages and interviews), the nonfiction works and the testament. The whole of his writing activity included 197 works. The quality of contents of these publications evidences wide interests of Bp. Bareła, but also indicates that he prepared them with special care and knowledge.

    Uwagi o postawach katolickiego ekumenizmu
Laskowski, Łukasz (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
The article presents the analysis of the biblical foundations of Catholic ecumenism. Cooperation among Christians is based on the unity of all believers in Christ, which flows from the mystery of the Trinity. The high priestly prayer of Jesus is a call for unity understood as unity of disciples with thair master on the model of unity of Jesus with the Father. This vertical dimension results in the mutual unity of disciples. Without conforming to Christ ecumenism can not exist. Dissenting from the principles of Scripture by any of either non-Catholic or in-Church communities, makes ecumenical dialogue with such a group irrelevant. Then the appropriate form of the influence of the Church is evangelization.

O dialogu ekumenicznym w świetle sporu św. Augustyna z donatyzmem
Terka, Mariusz (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
The Ecumenical dialogue applies to those who openly or implicitly do not spiritually belong to the Church. According to st. Augustine these include heretics, schismatics, and bad Christians. They remain excluded from the community of the Church as a result of their lack of mutual love, and obstinacy in aberration and bad habits, whose roots are always in the sin of haughtiness. The basic value of ecumenical dialogue and its aim is the unity of the Church, and its motive is a Christian charity that cares for the salvation of our brethren excluded from the Church. This is why this dialogue is faced toward both those who are outside the Church and its members. Therefore, the bishop of Hippo takes firstly the polemic against wrong beliefs of heretics, shows the immensity and impiety of evil scission of the Christian community, reprimands, calls heretical environments for a return to unity with the Catholic Church, emphasizes what is common to them and to Catholics, and asks for prayers for unity. The ecumenical dialogue also requires in-depth theological reflection of the Church to understand better God’s Revelation, the concern for their own identity and the sanctification of all its members. St. Augustine underlines that the source of the unity of the Church is Christ, and only in Him interpersonal relationship takes any value. Therefore, any ecumenical dialogue, to be fruitful and to be able to overcome the impiety of scission, has to begin with and aim at deeper union with Christ, that means personal repentance and sanctification.

    Zawierzenie Maryi w świetle Pięćdziesiątnicy
Laskowski, Łukasz (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
This article provides an analysis of basic terms related to biblical Mariology. Such terms as μήτηρ, ὑπερῷον – θάλαμος, ἡ δούλη κυρίου and προσκαρτεροῦντες ὁμοθυμαδόν appear to be so significant and used that they most probably were employed for the expression of theological views on current reality reflected in the life of the Church. The Apostles have entered in the room as a family of Jesus and his Mother. The room is a place where the power is given. But they must first be the family of Jesus, to get the Holy Spirit. The guide on this journey is Mary, the owner of the upper room and the humble slave of God.

Biografia i pasterska posługa bp. Stefana Bareły w diecezji częstochowskiej na tle odniesień do korzeni rodzinnych
Olczyk, Arkadiusz (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
For 20 years Bishop Stefan Barela was the bishop of the diocese of Czestochowa. Throughout his pastoral ministry he was forced to contend with the PRL System. However, he bravely stood by the side of the indomitable Cardinal Primate of the Millennium, Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski as well as Karol Wojtyla, who would later become John Paul II. In the history of the Polish Church he is remembered to be a „Marian Bishop” and „Shepherd with a big heart and mind”. He was adamantly against the socialist government. His family house in Zapolice, which is in the Kodrąb Parish had a tremendous impact on him. He was born into a peasant family. His parents, Joseph and Stefania, raised him in the Catholic faith and in fidelity to God, the Church and the homeland. They nurtured in him a life of prayer, simplicity and openness to others. In his future ministry he would view home as a „locus theologicus”. The same values he grew up with in his home, he would also live and teach to others. In 2011, his parishioners from his home parish in Kodrab built a monument in front of the church in his memory. Although it has been 30 years since he died, the memory of him is still alive in the hearts of the faithful of the Archdiocese of Czestochowa.

Jak to się zaczęło? Myśl Yves Congara u źródeł katolickiego ekumenizmu
Pielka, Paweł (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
Chrétiens désunis. Principes d’un «oecuménisme» catholique of Yves Congar was the first attempt by a Catholic theologian to take position with regard to the ecumenical movement, active in the Protestant environment. This book was published in 1937 (and never translated into Polish). It aimed at creating a doctrinal basis for the Catholic efforts in quest for the unity of Christians. The author analyses the terms used by Congar to describe the nature of this quest, the description of its point of departure and the goal of the unifying process. The paper presents the originality of Congar’s reflections, their importance for the ecumenical way made by the Catholic Church since that time, and its still valid power of inspiration.

Św. Jana Pawła II i nasze zawierzenie Maryi
Siudy, Teofil (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
St. John Paul II, who dedicated all his life and his Church ministry to the Mother of God (Totus Tuus), became a unique witness and teacher of this way of life to all the Christians. According to the Holy Father, the Mother of God who was totally dedicated to God’s mercy, is a role model and a help in our dedication. On her devotion Christians can base their devotion. In this way Mary, to whom we give our filial entrust, becomes the Mother of our trust in God and an exceptional help on our way to the sources of God’s mercy. This article discusses, in the context presented above, the issue of Mary’s devotion in the light of the teaching of John Paul II.

Katecheza w parafii w świetle obowiązujących dokumentów kościelnych
Stypułkowska, Beata (Częstochowskie Wydawnictwo Archidiecezjalne „Regina Poloniae”, 2014)
The present paper deals with the problem of parochial catechesis in the light of Church documents being currently in effect. Basic catechetical documents were taken into account, including the Apostolic Exhortation Catechesi tradendae, a document of Congregation for the Clergy entitled General Directory for Catechesis, a document of Polish Episcopal Conference entitled Catechetical Directory of the Catholic Church in Poland, the Core curriculum of Catechesis of the Catholic Church in Poland, and other Church documents. The paper presents the problem of catechetical ministry in a particular Church and in a parish, focusing on persons which are catechetical leaders and on their formation, the latter being the task of local particular Churches. The adult catechesis is dealt with briefly, then there are presented directions and guidelines provided by Church documents for the catechesis directed towards children and adolescents in parishes. One of the points concerns the formation of parish catechists in the High Institute of Theology, Częstochowa. The entire text is illustrated by the annexed example of parochial catechesis carried out at the Holy Family parish in Częstochowa during the catechetical year 2002/2003. The parish-priest there was then Rev. Prof. Marian Duda, the present Director of the High Institute of Theology in Częstochowa, and the paper was originally delivered as an oral presentation during the scientific conference ‘In the heart of the Church on the way of New Evangelization’ held on the 17th of January 2014, on the occasion of his celebration of the 25th anniversary of his academic work.
