    Postawy macierzyńskie a samotność matek
Landwójtowicz, Paweł (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2003)
This article covers the topic of maternity attitudes with the special consideration for the formation of mother’s attitudes in case of her isolation. The first part of the article helps to understand three theories about the genesis of maternity attitudes. First of them puts the pressure on the meaning of hormones, second one refers to the meaning of the previous psychical experience of a child acquired in the family it comes from (psychoanalysis) and the third one highlights the meaning of influences of society and culture. The second part of the article shows the stages of formation of maternity attitudes. It mentions G. Makełło-Jarży’s theory, which distinguishes three stages of maternity attitudes’ evolution – the first one is the one from the early childhood to the third one is the one from the delivery to the time when the baby is 3-4 months old. The evolution of maternity attitudes in not always progressive and in a special way it is being disrupted by single motherhood of a woman, which (by the way) can lead to weakness of maternity attitudes and it can even lead to refuse to bring up the child.

The commonly known saying of “advertising is trade’s mainspring” shows close relation of advertising with this field of human life, which is a possibility of sale and purchase of some goods. It has been like that for many centuries. However, this situation has recently undergone a serious change. Presently, man is exposed to advertising almost permanently because it is present almost everywhere. One may find it on TV and radio programs, in the press, on the streets in the form of billboards, in shops and in the media. Facing its omnipresence it is necessary to ask a very important question concerning nature of advertising. And more specifically: what is its influence on the full development of man, especially a young man, whose personality hasn’t yet completely formed? And so, an important problem appears here of determination of advertising impact on the proper upbringing of man. In the light of the above analyses regarding the influence of advertising on the process of child upbringing in the family, it might be said that advertising nowadays has lost its function, which was to inform about the given goods and encourage to purchase them. Presently, advertisement became means of manipulation of man. Through creation and popularization of illusions concerning the role of things in human life, as well as through various mechanisms, it strives to create a new life style, completely new and different hierarchy of values, new behavior models and moral norms which, not only have little in common with the well being of man – proving that advertising does not care about man’s development – but becomes a negation of the whole civilization output achieved with such difficulty by past generations. Advertising presently constitutes such a great threat for the proper child upbringing from his earliest years, because by arousing his various instincts, it only reduces him to the level of practical value, that is object and not subject. Besides, advertising contributes to making him a slave of things. For this reason the saying of “advertising is trade’s mainspring”, whose existence was justified in the past, should rather be paraphrased as follows: “advertising is the mainspring of false” And where false exists, there are always constraints. We know, however, that: “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (J 8,32). It seems that behind this false, promoted by advertising nowadays, the final goal is hidden, that is total destruction of civilization, thanks to which man can reach his full development. That is why family plays such an important role in the cause of proper child upbringing in order to protect him against the destruction emerging from behind advertising. Finally it is worth asking a question: Whose purpose is served by popularization of destruction through contemporary advertising?!

Metody badawcze stosowane w psychologii religii
Król, Józef (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2003)
The article presents the research methods applied in the psychology of religion. It is pointed out that in studies on religious experience the same research methods are used as those applied in other branches and fields of psychology. The differences are mainly reduced to the frequency of usage of the particular research methods in psychology of religion. In the psychological study on religious experience both quantity (nomotetic) and quality (idiographic) methods are applied. Only the quality methods such as: psychological experiment, semantic differential, psychological observation, psychological test and questionnaire are presented and discussed in the article. The article focuses primarily on the possibility of applying those methods in research on religious experience.

Statut „De hiis autem” w rękopisie Archiwum Ziemi Morawskiej w Brnie
Krafl, Pavel (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2003)
Several medieval provincial statutes of the Gniezno church province were preserved in the form of undated remnants. One of these is the fragment De hiis autem. With its content, the statute relates to the regulations of both versions of the statute Cresente quottidie, which concerns crimes against clerics and prelates. It evidently originated as a reaction to the situation which arose in the Wrocław diocese. It is documented as an insert of archbishop John’s document of May 4th, 1381, which he issued at the prompting of the Wrocław chapter. The fragment was issued by one of John’s archbishop predecessors. A determination of the time is given by the issuing date of the so called Synodyk of archbishop Jarosław Skotnicki, which is not included in the statute (1357) and by the year that Jan IV ascended the archbishop cathedra (1373). It is still not known that the statute De hiis autem is also preserved in a medieval document of the Moravian Regional Archive in Brno, Gil , sign. 611. Among the transcriptions of documents of a silesian character we can find two notarial instruments which were to transume the text of the statute De hiis autem. The first notarial instrument is the commonly known and above-stated document issued at the prompting of the administrator and the Wroclaw chapter on May 4th, 1381 in Uniejów. However, the archbishop of Gniezno, Jan IV, already had the statute transumed at the prompting of the Wroclaw chapter on January 15th, 1381 (second notarial instrument). Publications of both notarial instruments can be found in the appendix, particularly the yet unreleased and unknown documents from January 1381 (Appendix No. 1) .

Społeczny wymiar osoby ludzkiej w refleksji wiary
Sienkiewicz, Edward (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2003)
A somewhat obsolete concept of the Marxist collectivism, similarly to the liberal individualism, is not a solution to crucial problems of the man. This is, among other things, due to a lack of interest in the interior structure of his being. However, in the case of these concepts we deal with a problem which is solved in a slightly different manner by both of them. This refers to a social dimension, which is inseparable from the human person. One cannot deny that the man lives and acts together with others, in a society. Therefore, there arises a question concerning the nature of a community. What is it and what are the relations between a society and an individual? Arguments continuing for centuries in this area oscillated most frequently between the priority of an individual or a society. Both approaches, not infrequently going to extremes, should be considered as one-sided and fragmentary. Personalism seems to be a final reconciliation between the two. An assessment of both social and individual dimension of the human existence undertaken by this approach is based on an internal, unique and incomparable structure of a personal existence. The greatest values, such as love, truth and freedom, owing to which a person can develop, can be realized only with respect to others and with other people. Any attempt to realize one’s good to the cost of another individual or society quickly turns against the good of individuals and the whole society. This is always a two-sided process. We all need one another. The greatest evil of collective and individualistic systems consists in a negation of a human. A man, even if he/she acts with others and for others, acts as a subject, as a person. Hence, a human individual and a society find a thorough explanation in the concept of Christian personalism, which is open to a supernatural dimension. While comparing the truth about God and the man included in the Revelation we perceive certain similarity between the unity of Divine Persons and a unity of humans. The man is similar to God not only owing to the spiritual nature of an immortal soul but also owing to a social nature, which imposes certain obligations on a human individual and the whole society. In a community, people realize themselves through a disinterested gift from themselves, and a community understood in this way deserves the name of communio, which far exceeds the understanding of a society as a fairly loose relationship.
