Abstrakt
Research earned out in this article demonstrates that the Books of the Twelve Prophets in various traditions always appear together, although there may be slight differences as to their sequence (e.g. MT, LXX, Qumran, Ascension of Isaiah). They are not, fust and foremost, any independent shorter or longer works, but instead they constitute a complete collection, edited in the deuteronomistic spirit according to the scheme: sin (Hosea-Joel-Amos-Obadiah ‒ Jonah-Micah) ‒ punishment (Nahum-Habakkuk-Zephaniah) ‒ restoration (Haggai-Zechariah-Malachi). This way, all these books, created and formed within the period of approximately 500 years, after their final redaction they became a singular anthology of prophetic texts of the biblical Israel. They form a carefully planned and coherent theological collection. This makes it possible to discuss the Twelve Prophets collection as of a single book.
