Opis
The author undertakes to present the history of psychology understood as a field of science and reveals its place in the area of formation of candidates for the priesthood on the example of Diocese of Siedlce. In a brief outline, he shows the development of the science, its particular schools and major modalities. He points at emerging new views, giving an overview of ways to practice contemporary psychology. Based on the source data, he presents the history of lectures on psychology for seminary students conducted in Diocese of Siedlce, and presents the lecturers. In the last part, going on the official statements of the Magisterium of the Church, he presents two ways of the presence of psychological activities in formation to the priesthood and presents their practical application to the emerging new pastoral and disciplinary challenges.
