Abstrakt

Apart from the Eucharist and meditation, the Divine Office is a great way of sanctifying man’s time. At the same time one can observe that the time devoted to conducting this liturgical form of communion with God becomes a perfect way mean of human advancing in the process of sanctification. In the times of secularization, it is important to refer to this precious treasury of Church, deep ‒ rooted in its tradition, in order to, discovering its permanence, indicate a specific possibility of unifying oneself with God. Derived from the Holy Scripture, the Divine Office enables one to turn to Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. Consequently, the Divine Office it is the holy time extending an d spreading itself onto all the events of ordinary life. What is more, the time of man’s activity leads him to the meeting with the Lord of the time and gives his activeness a proper character. Summing up, combining man in Church and, as a result, leads to the transformation and sanctification of the world.
