    Wolność – religia – wolność religijna

    The article points to a voluntary tendency in the history of philosophy, which is the theoretical justification for the phenomenon of the absolutisation of freedom. This phenomenon also occurs in practical life, where freedom is no longer understood as freedom to truth and goodness and within the limits of natural law, but as negative freedom. The absence of natural limitations to human freedom leads to its absolutisation and permissiveness, and consequently to attempts by the state and the law to limit it, which leads to its negation. However, the conflict between freedom and nature, nature and culture, freedom and law is illusive. The article points out the ontic basis of human freedom, a synthesis of the freedom and religion in the form of religious freedom, threats to freedom and religion from atheism, fideism, sentimentalism and individualism. The data to defense against the reduction of freedom and religion are from realistic philosophy, showing the rational and objective character of freedom and religion.

    One hundred years ago, in the Prussian city of Olsztyn, the Polish-Catholic School Society for Warmia was established. This event was special in the history of Warmia, as it was the first local initiative of the Polish movement in this area, which officially, having legal subjectivity, dealt with the organization of education for the Polish minority within the German state. The Society as a social organization, by providing mother tongue teaching, headed towards national education and education based on the principles of the Catholic religion.

    Sport w służbie osoby ludzkiej: stanowisko papieży wobec sportu

    The aim of the paper is an attempt to sum up the social teaching of popes on sport. The authors analyse the fundamental issues concerning human involvement in sport, focusing, among others, on the need for the presence of the Church in sport or on the significant role of sport in the harmonious development of young people. The following methods were used in the study: literature review, comparative, and axiological methods, as well as idiographic and nomothetic methods. The conducted analyzes show that the highest Church leaders invariably demand respect for fundamental human values, which also applies to sport, which, if properly directed, can play an important role in the process of education and promote propagation of Christian values.

    „W klasztorze wieść życie pielgrzyma” – interpretacja architektury i wnętrza kościoła św. Richariusza w Centuli (St. Riquier) w czasach Angilberta (799-814) w kontekście liturgii stacyjnej i kultu relikwii

    Decyzją Karola Wielkiego został wniesiony w Centuli, nad grobem św. Richariusza, jeden z najwspanialszych kościołów w państwie karolińskim o nowatorskiej architekturze. Zgromadzono w nim imponującą kolekcję relikwii, reprezentującą świętości totius christianitatis, z najliczniejszą grupą relikwii Chrystusa-Zbawiciela. Relikwie miały nadać fundacji wyjątkową jakość i atrybut „miejsca świętego”. Opis liturgii sprawowanej w Centuli informuje, że relikwie zdeponowane w jedenastu ołtarzach i czterech memoriach uobecniały w nich najważniejsze miejsca i zdarzenia z Ziemi Świętej związane z vita Christi, a także osoby świętych. Mnisi, w ramach praktyki circuire altaria, na podobieństwo pielgrzymów nawiedzali ołtarze i ich relikwie. Wzorem była tu stacyjna liturgia rzymska oraz iroszkocka praktyka peregrinatio.

    Praca duszpasterska i pedagogiczna Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego w okresie II wojny światowej na przykładzie wybranych placówek

    Odzyskanie niepodległości przez nasz kraj w 1918 r. otworzyło szerokie możliwości na działanie Kościoła, w tym również Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego. Zgodnie z charyzmatem ks. Jana Bosko salezjanie w sposób szczególny angażowali się na polu oświaty i wychowania. Otworzyli kilkanaście szkół ogólnokształcących, zawodowych i sierocińców. Powyższą działalność zahamował wybuch II wojny światowej. Polskę podzielono na trzy strefy. Pierwsza została włączona w struktury III Rzeszy. Druga stanowiła Generalne Gubernatorstwo. Trzecia strefa znalazła się pod okupacją sowiecką. Najtrudniejsze warunki panowały w tzw. Warthegau, gdzie stopniowo zamknięto wszystkie salezjańskie placówki szkolne i wychowawcze. Stosunkowo największą swobodą cieszyło się Generalne Gubernatorstwo. Wykorzystując oficjalne struktury kościelne, salezjanie organizowali tajne nauczanie, ukrywali ludność pochodzenia żydowskiego i starali się prowadzić pracę z młodzieżą w miarę możliwości.

    Wolność słowa w głoszeniu Ewangelii. Przykład Ef 6,10-20

    Głoszenie Ewangelii wynika z powołania apostolskiego. Przeszkodą w wypełnianiu tego zadania nie jest nawet uwięzienie, gdyż παρρησία (odwaga) konieczna do głoszenia tkwi w samej Ewangelii, a nie w osobistym nastawieniu lub bohaterstwie Apostoła. To zadanie apostolskie może i musi zostać wsparte stałą modlitwą wspólnoty wierzących, którzy w taki właśnie sposób przyczyniają się do proklamacji Ewangelii. Zakończenie Listu do Efezjan z jednej strony jest dobrą okazją do przypomnienia tego zadania, z drugiej przypomina o stałej i wytrwałej modlitwie w takiej intencji, jako komplementarnym dziele Apostoła i wspólnoty wierzących.

    Childhood is a special period in human life, and it is characterized by a specific logic of thinking. The way the child perceives and understands the world as regards its material, nonmaterial, and social aspects, is entirely different from that of an adult person. The child experiences emotions and applies moral requirements in his own way. The presented study aims to show the specific functioning of children in the surrounding world. It also undertakes to indicate the possible role of educators in the field of getting to know the essence and nature of a child.

    Problematyka związana z tłumaczeniem hebrajskiego terminu כִּנּוֹר

    The Hebrew Bible abounds in examples of musical instruments and כִּנּוֹר is one of them. Archaeological research does not provide an unambiguous answer to the question of what this instrument looked like, because we do not have any finds that would present an instrument signed as כִּנּוֹר. The problem also refers to biblical translations both in the Septuagint and Vulgate, as well as to translations of the Bible into Polish. We see in them attempts to translate כִּנּוֹר using different instrument names, with no consistency in individual Bible translations.

    Opracowanie rozpatruje przede wszystkim zagadnienia naukowe i metodologiczne dotyczące teologii katolickiej. Wynika z niego, że teologia jest nauką tylko wtedy, gdy spełnia określone warunki. Lecz właśnie ze specyficznych, charakterystycznych cech epistemologicznych teologia czerpie swoją zdolność i siłę prowokacji i stawiania wyzwania innym naukom oraz organizacji universitas studiorum w coraz bardziej zeświecczonej Europie. Do osiągnięcia tego celu decydujące są najnowsze wskazówki papieskiego magisterium w zakresie odnowy teologicznej.

    This article is the outcome of projects implemented at the Daily Care Home at the Local Support Centre in Gdańsk, aimed at increasing socio-cultural activation and counteracting social exclusion. Among the activities, I especially concentrated on those based on a narrative biography, i.e., real life stories about key existential moments with particular emphasis on revitalizing moments, overcoming critical situations, but also on the lack of such experiences. Thus, the narrators conduct a critical reflection on building the ability to regenerate as well as on the sources of resilience, its potential, and ways of using it in the field of education. The article undertakes a reflection on possible activities of social pedagogy, in which I see the problems of resilience in relation to adult education, and it does not include, due to the complexity of the topic, analyzes of the heard stories.

    This article presents the phenomenon of dating game shows discussing selected examples of shows in the context of transformations taking place in different spheres of social life and characteristic of the current post-modern society. The said transformations are also affecting romantic relationships, which are marked by a growing interest of singles in alternative methods of searching for a life partner. One of these methods involves participating in dating game shows that have recently enjoyed a rising popularity. The article also presents and compares the ways of establishing romantic relationships between women and men both in the past decades and today. The aim of the article is to present dating game shows as one of the modern alternative methods of searching for love and establishing romantic relationship in the 21st century.
