In January 1951, the Bishop of Kielce – Czeslaw Kaczmarek was arrested. After more than two years of physical and mental abusement, during the trial in the autumn 1953 the clergyman pled guilty. The trial was used by the authorities in their propaganda. Certainly, that was one of the reveals of communist authorities fight against Catholic Church which was well-respected and recognised in the Polish society. The situation found its reflection at schools which were particularly important. Schools received specially elaborated propaganda materials, which were to be submitted to teachers, among others, at the conferences, or parents ‒ mainly during election gatherings to parental committees or pupils mainly in the didactic process. In the last example teachers were required considerable creativity and in this case, a lot dependent on teachers’ engagement. It may be accepted, that the entire action did not bring immediate and spectacular result but it was certainly a predominant part of propaganda attack which was to form the society according to authorities notion.
