It discusses the organization and functioning of this facility, it characterizes its collections and ways how they have been collected, described, stored and shared. Staff and library users have also been presented. Finally, it specifies forms and results of the work undertaken with other scientific and cultural centers, both regional and nationwide. The data for this study has been obtained by analyzing literaturę and sources and through interviews with library directors and their Staff in 1966-2010. On the basis of the collected Information, it has been found out that the directions of the analyzed activities do not deviate from the directions of activities of other such institutions. In its activities in the years 1945-2010 the Higher Seminary Library in Przemyśl focused on the implementation of the standard tasks of libraries, i.e. the collection, preparation, storage and resource sharing. Following the achievements of librarianship, taking into account personnel and materiał limitations as well as the specificity of the library, the institution managers took care of its overall development and adjusted its organization to the reąuirements of the times in order to best serve its users. In the analyzed period the rules according to which the basie library tasks were carried out were modified, which resulted in some areas in working out own and original methods by the researcher.
