Jak nudzić się umiejętnie? Refleksja na motywach myśli F. Nietzschego, E. Ciorana, J. Brodskiego i M. Archer
Wieczorek, Krzysztof (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2022)
According to Nietzsche, boredom appeared already in Eden. By fighting it, man discovered the value of cognition. At the same time, however, he got into conflict with God. Nietzsche’s thought is continued by Cioran. He claims that the source of the essential boredom is man’s incompatibility with the world he lives in, and its effect is fear of himself. Boredom is paid for by man’s inability to find the ultimate meaning of the world and of life. Contrary to this unambiguously negative image of boredom, one can also point to its positive aspects. In his essay The Praise of Boredom, Brodsky advises to sometimes give in to boredom and use the experience to deepen one’s self-knowledge and to grasp the relation between consciousness and the dimension of time. The author of the text develops this idea. Using elements of the philosophical anthropology of critical realism M. Archer, he proposes an active and constructive approach to experiencing the state of boredom in the perspective of an affirmative and at the same time critical attitude towards oneself.

Relacja człowiek-koń, czyli o znaczeniu koni w życiu człowieka pod względem cywilizacyjnym i indywidualnym
Stefanowska, Agata; Bołdak, Agnieszka (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2022)
The importance of the horse in human life is indisputable. Since the dawn of time, this unique animal has played an extremely important role in many areas of activity ‒ e.g., transport, art and agriculture. Despite many cultural changes and significant development on the technical and mechanical level, the horse is still an indispensable element of our lives, although today we use it differently than before ‒ more often for tourist, recreational or therapeutic purposes. Being in the company of a horse, caring for it and, of course, horse riding it, have a positive effect on our emotions, help in eliminating physical, mental and social disorders. Horseback riding affects the immune system and hardens not only the body, but also the human character.

    Dzieje „Księżówki” polskiej w Worochcie 1901-1939
Piekarski, Stanisław (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2022)
The issue of the struggle for Polishness during the time of partitions excites many historians and cultural experts even now. This “catalog” of the steadfastness of the Polish nation also includes the fascinating history of the Księżówka in Worochta, built at the beginning of the 20th century, in the system of common donation by Galician clergy of the Latin rite. The role of the direct “investor” was played by the Lviv Society for Mutual Aid for Priests, which at the end of the 19th century included 32% of Polish clergy working in the Austrian partition. From the very beginning it was assumed that the fortress of Polishness would be built in Worochta, the more so as there was no parish or church there. First, a wooden Księżówka building was built in 1901, then a brick church was erected in 1906, and just before the outbreak of World War I, the second part of the Księżówka was opened in a brick building. A kind of “oasis of Polishness” was created, with priests in the lead role. It is thanks to them that the chapel located in the first building began to function as a parish church for the local faithful. Later, this role was taken over by a newly erected temple, where services were held, and religious and state ceremonies were organized by priests staying in Worochta for rest. The priests from Lviv also continued their mission in the borderlands during the interwar period, when Worochta was again within the Polish territory. The pastoral service was intended to cover 10,000 Poles who came here every year to relax. After the end of World War II, Worochta found itself within the “Ukrainian” part of the USSR. At that time, the fate of “Księżówka” seemed doomed...

Wychowawcza rola rodziny w perspektywie Starego Testamentu
Niewęgłowski, Jan (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2022)
Each person is accompanied by upbringing. This process begins in childhood and continues through the long years of adolescence. Mechanisms such as politics, economy, culture, education and tradition have a significant influence on the model of education. In working with a young person, responsible people provide him with knowledge, experience, culture and the broadly understood world of values. Parents and others involved in the upbringing process must make continual choices regarding a wide range of parenting models. One of the educational suggestions may be the teaching about the role of the family contained in the Bible.

Paradoksy sarmatyzmu. Obyczaj – polityka – ikonografia
Mrozowski, Przemysław (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2022)
The sources of Sarmatism were traced back to historiographic legends which derived the origin of Polish nobility from the ancient Sarmatians. The phenomenon itself was supposed to be the result of the influence of the Oriental culture. However, it does not really explain the essence of Sarmatism, which did not arise from a fascination with the culture of the East, but from the contestation of the West. At the end of the XVI century, it became an expression of the nobility’s conviction of the perfection of the Polish system guaranteeing their freedom and privileges. At that time, the feeling of separateness was manifested by the orientalization of nobility’s clothes, which became a sign of national identity, as evidenced by iconographic sources.

Współczesna realizacja edukacji przedszkolnej według koncepcji Edmunda Bojanowskiego
Marszałek, Lidia (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2022)
The presented publication presents the current, practical implications of the concept of preschool education developed by Blessed Edmund Bojanowski in contemporary reality in many countries of the world, taking into account their specific culture and language. This concept, together with methodological indications for its implementation ‒ according to the author ‒ can effectively counter the current trends of educating the youngest generation towards a hedonistic model of life for the proper shaping of personal, social and national identity, regardless of the area of the world in which it is implemented.

Amilkiewicz-Marek, Agnieszka (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2022)
The risk of students being excluded from religion lessons in the case of individual education induced by a chronic disease is a real problem. In view of that, the article analyzes the possibilities resulting from the currently applicable regulations to help remedy this. An analysis was also made of catechists’ capabilities to increase the availability of religion lessons to students who cannot attend school for health reasons. The article ends with selected examples of good practices and recommendations that may become the basis for the practical implications of the assumptions of inclusive education in relation to students suffering from diseases or those staying in quarantine.

It is also intended to shed more light on the problems of religious teaching and education, or upbringing, discussed at the congress and related to the creation of curricula for religious instruction and their unification in primary and secondary schools, as well as to the Christian formation of children and young people within the framework of pastoral care in schools. It also presents efforts aimed at developing the professional qualifications of teaching priests in the Russian partition zone. Furthermore, it expands the knowledge of the history of catechesis by describing its selected aspects in the period of the Kingdom of Poland based on an analysis of source texts from that time.
