Pozycja Dawne rzemiosło brzeskieSkibiński, Wiesław (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2005)Pozycja Elementy antropologii teologicznej islamuKucza, Grzegorz (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2005)A man is still searching for his identity. He remains a complete riddle to himself – the riddle that needs to be solved. Anthropology, or the study of mankind is interdisciplinary. The questions such as: „who is a man?” and „what is his relation to God ?” belong to the basic questions and problems of any religion. The underlying aim of this article is to outline theological anthropology of islam, above all on the basis of the Koran. The Koran is fundamental in the theology of islam. Its individual chapters contain descriptions of history of salvation. It’s not a theological treatise – but it provides the basis for the formulation of theological anthropology of islam. Analysing different texts, we can point to the main theses about the theology of islam: 1) A man has his origin in God as he has been created by God and at the same time called to the obedience to His will; 2) The initial harmony with God has been broken off by the original sin – a man has lost his place in the Garden of Eden; 3) God decides „to facilitate” and to make it easier for a man to stay on earth and go to paradise after death. So He makes a covenant with a man. It means that thanks to the obedience to His will, a man is strengthened by God’s mercy and favour. 4) Anticipation of the Last Judgement points to the fact that a man is responsible for his deeds. 5) The nature of theological anthropology of islam is eschatological. To sum up, we can state that theological anthropology of islam contains a lot of biblical references. For this reason, it can become – though to a slight extent – „a place” of an inter-religious dialogue.Pozycja Wiara wielkanocna bez zmartwychwstania? O przedstawicielach polskiej linii sukcesji apostolskiej w gronie Episkopatu Wrocławskiego II połowy XVIII i I połowy XIX w.Prokop, Krzysztof R. (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2005)Born in Cisowa, Upper Silesia, bishop John Maurice Strachwitz (1721-1781), preconized in 1761 as titular bishop of Tiberias and auxiliary of Wroclaw (Breslau), is reckoned among the most celebrated persons in the midst of eighteen-century Silesian clergy. He governed (in years 1761-1781) Prussian part of Wroclaw diocese initially as general vicar of exiled ordinary bishop Philip Gothard Schaffgotsch and then as apostolic vicar. His consecration took place on 17th of May 1761 in St. Mary’s Church in Cracow and the principal consecrator was titular bishop of Patara Francis Fotkanski (Podkanski), the auxiliary bishop of the place. As a consequence of this, also bishop Strachwitz, though connected through his pastoral service with Prussian Silesia (then part of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation), represents Polish line of the Apostolic Succession (so-called Uchanski’s line). What more, with the above-mentioned line are linked also the other eight ordinary and auxiliary bishops of Wrocław from the second half of the 18th cent, and from the first half of the following century, namely: Anthony Ferdinand Rothkirch-Panthen († 1805), Emmanuel Schimoni-Schimcnsky († 1832), Charles Aulock († 1830), Joseph Charles Schubert († 1835), Leopold Sedlriitzky († 1871), Daniel Gaspar Latussek (Latusek) († 1857), Joseph Knauer († 1844) and Bernard Joseph Bogedain († 1860). These facts, hitherto omitted, throw new light on the subject of “expansion” of Polish line of the Apostolic Succession in preceding the partitions of Poland and also in subsequent to the partitions periods of Polish territories’ ecclesiastical history.Pozycja Wobec nienaruszalnego misterium osoby. Omówienie koncepcji Paula TillichaCichoń, Jan (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2005)The article is an attempt to elaborate and analyse P.Tillich’s way of interpretation of the ontological structure of the idea of God (the way of understanding the relations between the idea of God and the idea of being). The scope and order of the deliberations in the article are defined by four points. The first one focuses on the ontological context of the origins of the idea of God, the second one – the ontological dimension of the sense of the idea, the third one – the ontological context of its verification; the fourth point considers ontological aspects of the biblical idea of God. The author of the article shows and discusses the most important elements of Tillich’s discourse and theory: he explains relevant categories of notions (such as selftranscendence of being, infinity or “selfbeing”), analyses particular explanations and consecutive stages in argumentation (such as a description and justification of the ontic self-transcendence, a description of the ontological experience, criticism of naturalism and supranaturalism, reinterpretation of the ontological argument or reconstruction of ontological assumptions of the biblical personalism and ontological determinants of the biblical vision of God); finally he explains a sense of particular theses and postulates (concerning the “ontological dimension” of the origins, understanding and justifying the idea of God). The essence of Tillich’s theory is that reconstruction of ontological assumptions of the idea of God is a necessary condition for its understanding and verification; only in the light of the proper “ontology of the idea of God” it is possible to prove realism (objectivism), rationality and the existential value of theism (including realism, rationality and the existential value of concrete – in this case Christian – faith in God). Such a standpoint is of key importance for theology. The article ending is an attempt to look at Tillich’s standpoint and proposals from the perspective of historical and systematic context of concurrencies and research co-operation between theology and ontology.Pozycja Nauka o Eucharystii w myśli teologiczno-pastoralnej księdza profesora Romualda Raka (1920-2003)Celary, Ireneusz (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2005)Even the general characteristic of selective activities of Tarnów diocese between the second World War and the second Vatican Council in favor of the engagement of the family into catechesis points out that many important elements has appeared. Many of these catechetical proposals have not lost its relevance today and may be the starting point in favor of stirring the family catechesis activity. Let’s remind a few: – During the time of Polish People’s Republic, Bishop J. Stepa defended the family, as educational, catechetical and ecclesial community. – Interesting proposals in favor of active operations of Catechetical Department in Tarnów, for organizing the structures enabling the existence of the family catechesis, given by Fr. P. Bednarczyk. – Bishop K. Pękala initiatives of connecting the parish catechesis and religious education at schools in order of better sacramental initiation of school children. The Second Vatican Council has given proper rank for the family catechesis. In the Tarnów Church the interest was not only marginal, but has presented very important element of the activities for more than hundred years.Pozycja Religia a funkcjonowanie osobowości człowieka. Studium psychologiczneKrok, Dariusz (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2005)The aim of the article is to present relationships between religion and personality traits. Religion is a relation, which is responsive but non-symmetrical, between man and Transcendence. As a vital phenomenon religion is rooted in authoritative spiritual traditions that transcend the person and point to larger realities which the person is embedded. Personality can be regarded as the unique combination of psychological and behavioural characteristics by which each individual can be compared and contrasted with everyone else. Individuals possess particular personality traits to either greater or less extent. As is generally stated, religion has mutual links with personality on the basis of five dimensions: (1) mental needs, (2) values system, (3) emotion and feelings, (4) fear and anxiety, (5) defence mechanisms. There are many associations between functioning of personality and religion. Recent conceptual and empirical developments in psychology of religion point out that spirituality may be viewed as a common ground for analyzing religiosity and personality. Although, religiosity is similar to spirituality the latter concept do not always have a transcendence reference point which allows us to distinguish between them. Evidence is accruing that spirituality may represent an unacknowledged sixth major dimension of personality in addition to the Five Factor Model (FFM). Moreover, correlations between the model traits and religiousness were found that confirms earlier presumptions about mutual relationships in the fields of religion and personality.
