Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2004)The article presents qualitative methods used in psychology of religion. The first part of the article is devoted to characterization of the qualitative methods used in psychology. It was pointed out that these methods are descriptive, comprehending, ideographic, and interpretative. A characteristic feature of the methods is the fact that they are used to describe and interpret an individual picture of a phenomenon. The methods include, among others: a case study, a psycho-biographic method, a psychological portrait, a hermeneutic dialogue method, a narrative method, and an autobiographic method. The second part of the article is devoted to a presentation of the areas within which the qualitative methods can be applied to psychology of religion. Some examples are provided of how the particular qualitative methods can be applied to an examination of religious experience. In the third part of the article some dilemmas of psychological qualitative examinations are pronounced. Special attention is paid to the fact that, with the use of these methods, one cannot capture causeeffect relationships of the phenomenon examined and the results of this examination can be applied only to the person (or the group of people) examined. However, they can constitute a basis to formulate some research hypotheses for verification with the use of the qualitative methods.Pozycja Teologiczne i filozoficzne aspekty teorii transcendentaliówWolsza, Kazimierz (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2004)The word “dogma” can make modern man think of “a stagnation” or conservatism – while dogmatic wording is of great importance in the life of a Christian community that is sent to preach the gospel to all nations and to all mankind (Mk 16,15). J.H. Newman in his theology pays attention to a crucial importance of a dogma. In his opinion the role of a dogma is to specify the faith of the Church and it allows differentiating the real doctrine from every falsification. A dogma originates from the current reflection of the Church on God’s revelation i.e. the revelation that is experienced in the believers’ community. It is put forward and announced by the Church authorities but simultaneously it includes the faith of all members of the Church. Newman also emphasizes the necessity of the steady development of a dogma: it would consist in more and more attentive getting to the core of its content. The development is to take place in such a way that the truths which are included in revealed sentences – as one might say in hiding – become clearer and more distinct in the consciousness of the Church in a suitable moment. Next, the attribute of infallibility plays a particular role during the process of formulating a dogma. According to Newman, this attribute is a sign of God the Creator i.e. the sign of His mercy in order to defend religion in the world and protect it against abuse. Infallibility, however, must always refer to the Scriptures and the Christian Tradition. To sum up, we will say that Newman is a man of merit not only because he draws attention to the crucial role of a dogma in the life of the Church but also because he points out the necessity of its development in history. For this reason, one can say that today it is still a current task for dogmatic theology to teach the doctrine of faith to modem people in a more and more appropriate way. It is also necessary to verify the content of what is preached as well as put forward and announced by the Church as it should encompass every current existence instead of being “left in a vacuum”.Pozycja Komentarz biblijny do encykliki „Ecclesia de Eucharistia”Jasiński, Andrzej S. (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2004)The subject of this study is the Biblical Commentary on the Encyclical Letter Ecclesia de Eucharistia. The article is divided into two parts: (1) Joy of the presence of Christ until the end of the world, (2) Mysterium paschale. In the beginning of the Encyclical Letter John Paul II says: “In a variety of ways Church joyfully experiences the constant fulfillment of the promise: ‘I am with you always, to the very end of the age’ (Mt 28:20)”. Joy and expectation of the end of the age makes the essential climate for the lives of Christians. The mystery of the Holy Eucharist is the core of Christian life. John Paul II wishes to recall the last Supper and restore it within its historical setting in order that one may understand the significance of the words which Our Lord pronounced at it, and the meaning of the actions he performed there. Holy Father says “For the most Holy Eucharist contains the Church's entire spiritual wealth: Christ himself, our passover and living bread. Through his own flesh, now made living and life-giving by the Holy Spirit, he offers life to men”. Jesus instituted the Holy Eucharist because he wished to remain with people until the end of the world, not only through the presence of his Spirit, but also of his Body.Pozycja Wskazania moralno-pastoralne dla małżonków w pismach św. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2004)Connected abuses of the cult of icons contributed to fighting against icons in Bysantium. The reflection portrays the first stage of the dispute of icons’ enemies with their defenders between 726-787 AD. The beginning of this dispute is connected with an extradition of the decree about the cult of icons by Emperor Leon IH. II Nice Council finishes this period in the year 787 by recognizing officially the cult of icons, but without creating precise theology of icons. Hostility to the cult of icons surrounds aristocracy, higher monks, and serfs. Yet, some priests support and perform the cult of icons. Dogma is the foundation for convincing both enemies and defenders of the cult about Incarnation as well as about the divine and human nature of Jesus. The issue of the presence of holy Prototype in icons also results from this dogma. The prominent defender of icons in this period is St John from Damascus whose apology of the cult of icons will influence theology of icons. Another Bysantine defenders of icons at the first stage are: patriarch German and monk Georges from Cyprus. Bysantine dispute does not end in 787. Animosity will take place from 813 to 843 again.Pozycja Organy Bronisława Cepki w diecezji opolskiejPoźniak, Grzegorz (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2004)We can see that a postmodern man loses God and the timeless values. John Paul II said that a present man is passing through a crisis of meaning. It is not possible to live without any meaning and goal. We need an internal rebirth and a meaning – animation. In pedagogic language the word (social-cultural) animation is often used. It is the name of a new phenomenon in present pedagogy. Joseph Kentenich (1885-1968) and the Schoenstatt International Movement of Pedagogy propose the meaning “animation” through a personal ideal. The personal ideal can be an interesting way for people to find the truth about themselves. It is not a willfully constructed idea. J. Kentenich showed us the theoretical and practical way of realizing this ideal. The ideal can become an original source of motivation (animation of oneself) and creativeness in human life. The beginning of living with the personal ideal is the process called internalization of values. The personal ideal is based on the Christian vision of a man and can open the way to become personality of love to oneself, to others and to God.Pozycja Kultura artystyczna i umysłowa renesansowego Brzegu w XVI wiekuSkibiński, Wiesław (Uniwersytet Opolski.
