The excellence of the form and the sacral elements give the primacy to Gregorian chant. The musical, literary and religious advantages of Gregorian chant allow to describe it as spiritual and aesthetic mysticism. The author at the beginning of this article presents the mathematical, symbolic, allegoric and ascetic standards of the musical aesthetics of the middle ages. Afterwards presents the variety of the sacral elements of Gregorian chant – its mystic, meditative, ascetic and consecration character. These attributes are clearly noticed in the melody and the literary text of Gregorian chant. Additionally the article presents the utilitarian character of Gregorian chant in the liturgy. In the final part of this article the author underlines the most important aspects of performing Gregorian chant.Pozycja Wczesnochrześcijańskie elementy poprzedzające Officium DivinumBisztyga, Jerzy (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2010)The article discusses the issue of the early Christian elements preceding the Divine Office, i.e. its main aim is to point out some of the prayer forms included later in the structure of the Liturgy of the Hours. The prayer of the first witnesses of Christ followed the example of their Lord Jesus Christ – the Mediator between God and his people and His commandment: Pray without ceasing. Thus the Christians have always prayed in the name of all and for the good of all. The custom of reciting prayers at fixed hours can be traced to different religions and cultures. Christians probably were in the most part influenced by the Jewish tradition, but some elements of Greek and Roman origin have also found their way to penetrate the structure of Christian prayer; in the ages to follow the elements of different rites in the East and West have contributed to the Divinum Officium as well. It is important to realize that the present elements composing the Divine Office find their roots in those primate forms because it shows the continuity and integrity of the Church’s prayer flowing through the different places and times. It also shows the Church’s fidelity to Her Master’s words and intentions.Pozycja The Cecilian Reform in the Church Music – Positive or Redundant?Caban, Peter (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2010)Prezentowany artykuł podejmuje kwestię cecyliańskiej reformy muzyki kościelnej. Autor w tytule stawia pytanie, czy oddziaływała ona pozytywnie na relację muzyka - liturgia czy też była zbyteczna. Zainicjowanie w XIX w. ruchu cecyliańskiego wiąże się właśnie z nierozstrzygniętą ówcześnie kwestią wzajemnego oddziaływania na siebie liturgii i muzyki oraz miejsca muzyki w liturgii. To, co dziś po Soborze Watykańskim II jest oczywiste, było w XIX w. zagadnieniem, które ze szczególnym upodobaniem podejmowano głównie w krajach niemieckojęzycznych. Autor artykułu wychodząc od skrótowego wytłumaczenia pojęcia „cecylianizm”, opisuje z kolei początki tego ruchu oraz jego główne postaci, charakteryzuje także stan ówczesnej muzyki wykonywanej podczas liturgicznych celebracji. Po takim chronologiczno-faktograficznym ujęciu, autor przystępuje do konkluzji. Wskazuje on, iż już pod koniec aktywności cecylianistów uważano, że muzyka kościelna, rozumiana jako część liturgii, musi być niejako w zgodzie ze wspólnotą, miejscem, okazją i kulturą, ale także ze wszystkimi elementami liturgii, które budują i konstytuują jedność wspólnoty zgromadzonej na Eucharystii. Niestety trendy odnowy promowane przez cecylianistów spowodowały także, że muzyka kościelna odseparowała się od ówczesnych nurtów twórczości muzycznej.Pozycja Dotknięcia prochu ziemi. The late nineteenth century founded the priests it Chodyńscy – Seminary Professors. With their private collections created collection, which comprised paintings, textiles, medals. The next year – after independence – a time extension of the harvest, which were the gothic painting, numismatic collection, antique furniture. Time of the occupation has caused the destruction and dispersal of Valuable exhibits. After World War II the surviving fragments of collections was unable to reproduce the Museum. In year only 2005, in antique accommodation from end XVIII, it open and diocesan museum rendev accessible touring. A permanent exhibition on the basis of collection, has to show history of millennial diocese for task. The Museum is a venue for exhibitions of contemporary artists, early music concerts, meetings with the creators of culture.
