Pozycja Kulturowy wymiar życia i misji św. Brunona. Zabytki i piśmiennictwoAbrosiewicz, Maciej (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2007)The article depicts review of the sources connected with Bruno of Querfurt (974- 1009) and some elements of cultural landscape of the Central Europe on the turn of Xth century. The area connected with life of bishop Bruno was called in that time bordering land between Russia and Yotvingans land. But Saint Bruno was also in Italy, Germany, Hungary, Pechenegs (semi-nomadic Turkie people living between the Danube and the Don rivers). The space of Bruno's activity was wide. Lithuanien research worker Tomas Baranauskas has draw chronology of sources about Saint Bruno of Querfurt activity between years 1009 and 1400 – before printing was invented. The first record from 1009 includes the information about martyrdom of St. Bruno and there is the first mention about the Lithuania. The second record from 1014 there is in the Thietmar Chronicle. The third record from 1020 there is in Chronicle from Tegernsee Abbey (or the Imperial Abbey of Tegernsee ) based on account of death of Bruno. The account was said by monk Wibert (Wipertus) who was the witness of martyrdom of St. Bruno and only he survived. The fourth record Petrus Damiani (Saint Peter Damian, also Pietro Damiani or Pier Damiani (1007-10072) from 1040 informs about the life of St. Romuald and includes the story about martyrdom of St. Bruno. This record is Wibert's version of martyrdom of St. Bruno with added elements. Duchy of Polan appeared on political scene of Europe on the turn of Xth century when the prince Mieszko decided Christianization of Polan's people. The information about another Western Slavs like Redars, Wielets or Baltic people who were pagans includes the old chronicles. Our knowledge about these people is not very reach. It is the forgotten world which represents their paganism beliefs. He was a missionary bishop. He received palium from pope St. Sylvester II with the power to consecrate bishops. He was born in Querfurt, finished famous cathedral school in Mahrburg and traveled as missionary from Aachen till Kiev, from Rome till Gniezno first capital of Poland. The foundation of his missionary vocation was to work only amongst pagans, so he was ready, right from the beginning of his mission, to lay down his own life for it. And it was exactly what happened on the 9th of March 1009 somewhere in the land of Prussia. Was he forgotten? In a way yes, because the oldest polish chronicles do not mention him. Why? because he was a German by birth? Or there was a return of paganism in Poland in the years 1034-1039? Or he was not canonized as splendidly as St. Adalbertus (Wojciech)? Also it is difficult to establish exact itinerary of life and work of St. Bruno. Especially in which place he was first and what he did there. But St. Bruno was always present in Polish and German medieval historiography. He is mentioned in the context of the universal plans of ceasar Otto III or the policy of Henry II or the missions amongst the Prussians. The opinions of the historians about Bruno are of one voice: S. Zakrzewski writes: “in the spiritual culture of Poland of King Boleslaus the Great Bruno takes the most prominent place”. Fr Ladislaus Nowak describes Bruno as: “shining bridge of efforts to find peace and friendship between Polish and German nations”. George Strzelczyk calls Bruno: ”true witness who loved Poland and Poles”. Zbigniew Mikolejko writes: ”Bruno was one of the most important persons in the beginning of Polish history”, and Zbigniew Gach gives this descriptions: “Bruno wanted to be like Christ in humility, goodness, labour and first of all in martyrdom. As missionary and writer he became a pillar of the Church in Poland in XI century”. As for me the journey on the steps of St. Bruno was an experience of seeing a great person, perhaps weak as human being but giant as Apostle in keeping the faith. Bruno marched with the Book of the Gospel not with the sword and great army but with the Cross of Jesus Christ. And today Bruno can be seen as an example of the process of “new evangelization”. And he asks each one of us today: “what are you able to offer from your life to God? There is noticeable classification of principles into technical principles – principles of legislation technique, which are applied to formulate and systematize tax regulations and principles which are applied into matter – the substance of regulation. These first principles are called “principles of constituting tax law (tax legislation)”. Principles of legislation technique are very general directives formulated by scientists (tax principles). There are also principles of tax law, they arise from legal regulation and they refer to entities constituting law. These principles show how to solve problems with the constituting law and how to shape constituting law process. It’s need to solve these problems in appropriate way and this time the act of legislation could fulfill its purpose. Definition above shows that principles of legislation technique are very complicated. We may present here three interests: – principles of legislation politic – they determine the substance of regulation – principles of legislation proceeding – they determine the procedure of constituting law – principles of legislation technique – they determine the way of formulating regulation These three interests have to coexist with each other and this is the subject of the article.Pozycja Ks. He has also been a long-term parish priest and dean in Suwałki, who still is held in memory of the faithful as a calm and modest minister of the great heart. His multi-aspects pastoral activity conduced to a certain literary legacy. In his speeches and sermons Fr. Hamerszmit underlines a necessity of the prayer in a Christian life. He highlights that the Christian finds the pattern of prayer in Jesus Christ, Blessed Virgin Mary, angels, and saints. Świadczą o tym w sposób wyjątkowy podróże z Rzymu do Konstantynopola trzech ostatnich papieży Pawła VI, Jana Pawła II i obecnego papieża Benedykta XVI. Niewiele znany jest fakt trzech pierwszych podróży o takim samym itinerarium, które odbyły się w pierwszej połowie VI wieku. Jednym ze sposobów ich przedstawienia jest ich wpisanie w perspektywę komunii między Rzymem i Konstantynopolem. Sięganie do przeszłość oświetla dzieje współczesne szczególnie w aspekcie ekumenicznym. Ta konkretna przeszłość z jej trzema podróżami papieskimi stanowi źródło do problematyki eklezjologicznej. Podstawowy problem, który wyłania się współcześnie na drodze pełnej jedności kościelnej jest pytanie o uniwersalną posługę Piotra apostoła i jego każdorazowego następcę, biskupa Rzymu. To pytanie powinno być ujęte w ramy eklezjologii komunii, która nabiera coraz większej wagi od Soboru Watykańskiego II. To pytanie nie wyczerpuje jednak problemu realizacji pełnej komunii kościelnej. Jej istotnym rysem jest wiara, szczególnie w wymiarze fides quae. Innym rysem związanym z poprzednim jest liturgia. Wśród nich swoje miejsce mocno ugruntowane ma rys „piotrowy” komunii kościelnej. Niniejsze studium ma na celu pokazanie i wpisanie roli biskupa Rzymu w komunię kościelną budowaną przez wiarę, przez dyscyplinę i przez sakramenty. It describes the problem of the “ecological crises” showing its main material symptoms. Then the author introduces certain thoughts connected with the history of philosophy and philosophical views, which can be admitted as the premises of modern style and method of the development of the civilization. At the final part of the article there are other historical and philosophical facts connected with the period of the origination and development of the science-technical revolution, which shall diametrically change the style of life and the relation of a man to nature. In conclusion the author pays the attention to the necessity of the adduction to the humanistic knowledge in the sphere of the protection of the environment and urgent necessity of the changing of the ethic of pleasure into the ethic of responsibility and restraint.Pozycja W obronie edukacji liberalnej (liberal education) – na kanwie rozważań Allana BloomaChłodna, Imelda (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2007)The article presents a concept of the liberal education whose supporter and propagator was an American political philosopher, Allan Bloom. Its Authoress refers to Bloom’s work The Closing of the American Mind where he deeply analyzed standards of the American education on the higher level. Facing threats which he saw in the academic life, he took a position that the only solution of that problem was to create a good basis of philosophical and humanistic studies, that required an authentic study of the history of great philosophical questions and problems as well as proposed answers to them. Bloom wanted to recover an ideal of man educated by great literary works and books of the great thinkers. He was an adherent of returning to education in liberal arts. That type of education was called by him as the liberal education, where the word „liberal” was used in a sense of the liberal arts. Besides a short characteristic of his liberal education Authoress also shows a way how Bloom was criticized by opponents of that model of education. He was accused of traditionalism, conservatism, fundamentalism, political dogmatism. Anyway, as Authoress claims, views on the education, presented in The Closing of the American Mind, were not based on any political doctrine. For one can find in Bloom no clear political program. He decidedly defended an education against so presently characteristic politicization that threatens its autonomy.
