O możliwości teodycei na przykładzie B. PascalaWszołek, Stanisław (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)Pascal’s sharp distinction between „God of philosophers” and „God of Abraham” raises the question of whether God can be the subject of philosophical analysis. In the paper this question is discussed basing on Pascal’s writings. It is argued that, despite many critical remarks about rational proofs for the existence of God, his way of approaching this problem was by no means irrational. The idea of reading some Pascal’s statements that way tends to overestimate the influence of Poit-Royal circles and underestimate the change of the world-picture which in his time began to be strongly felt. Pascal’s own proofs for the existence of God show their own rationality. One of the conditions of rationality is that we be able to discuss our views in terms which everyone, at least in principle, can understand. From this point of view the radical distinction between „God of philosophers” and „God of faith” is the least desired thing.Pozycja Racjonalność bez granic. Dwie próby odpowiedziDembek, Jacek (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)In the history of the human knowledge the question about the principles of rationality has always been very important. One of the main aspects of this question is the problem of the limits of rational thinking. The way of thinking typical for mathematics has always been taken as a model of rationality. In the present paper I try to describe two attempts in the philosophy of mathematics which tried to form this branch of science as a strict, consistent domain. These attempts were: logicism created by B. Russell and A. N. Whitehead and the program of formalism proposed by D. Hilbert. Both logicism and formalism met many difficulties. In 1931 Kurt Gödel published his famous theorem that showed that the limits of rational thinking are based on the principles of this very thinking. This and others theorems, as for example theorems of Church or Skolem-Löwenheim, though they deal with meta-theoretical properties of formal systems, have their importance for every kind of rational thinking.Pozycja Stosowanie logiki współczesnej w filozofii i teologii neotomistycznejWolak, Zbigniew (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)This article presents the works of three Polish philosophers: I.M. Bocheński, J.F. Drewnowski and J. Salamucha, who tried to make the thomistic philosophy more exact, with the help of the modem logic. In this way they wanted to accomplish the programme of prominent expert of the logic and the philosophy J. Lukasiewicz, who demanded radical reform of the philosophy with regard to the methods used in the philosophy. Drewnowski in his book, in which he presented his philosophical programme, constructed the special theory of a sign, which – in his opinion – could be used in the rebuilding of all kinds of sciences, also philosophy and theology. He thought that all the science theories can be constructed as the set of elementary sentences in the shape: b2a1a2a3 what means: the being b2 perceive in the way a l the thing a2 experience a3. Drewnowski’s suggestions were rather impossible to the accomplish but they became encouragement for the other philosophers to use modem logic in philosophy. They made – especially Bocheński and Salamucha – some interesting analyses of different philosophical concepts and problems. However, in this article – more for the general public than for scientists – these analyses are only mentioned. There are in it first of all arguments for the need to make exact the philosophical and Christian thought. Philosophers presented in this article very often point at the tradition of the specification of Christian thought. This specification is also necessary because of very sophisticated reasoning in philosophy, especially in the metaphysics. These are the main reasons of the using of the modem logic in these fields.Pozycja Liturgika w nauczaniu i wychowaniu seminaryjnym w świetle obowiązujących dokumentów KościołaMargański, Bolesław (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)Pozycja Skuteczne pomaganie terapeutyczne (model Gerarda Egana)Szewczyk, Władysław (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)The article is written for all those persons, who without extensive psychological training must deal with troubled people in the course of their work Many people today turn so often to the clergy, teachers, general physicians with “problems” – crises, troubles, doubts, difficulties, frustrations. The Autor, after presenting an account of the developments in contemporary psychology related to problem of the helping in different froms (counseling, psychotherapy, coping, healing), focuses on the Gerard Egan’s helping model. Egan is profesor of psychology and Organizational Studies at Loyola University of Chicago, and also program coordinator in the Center for Organization Development. He has written over dozen books, including “The skilled Helper” and “Interpersonal living”. According Gerard Egan helping framework has three major stages: 1. Present scenario: the problem – what is and why? – identifying and claryfying problem sytuations. 2. Preferred scenario: Helping clients search and construct the futute – goal setting and shape agenda with understand the cosequences of choices. 3. Linking preferred scenario to action: helping clients choose best-fit strategies and put them to work The Autor believes that the proposed Egan’s model of helping may prove useful for therapeutic purposes in psychological and also pastoral counseling.Pozycja Nauczanie Jana Pawła II o kulturzeAdamek, Zbigniew (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)Pozycja Papieskie dzieła misyjne w diecezji i w parafiiKmiecik, Antoni (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)Pozycja Obraz Boga w Księdze KoheletaBrzegowy, Tadeusz (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)Pozycja Quine i Gödel. Jeszcze o ontologicznych interpretacjach fizycznych teoriiHeller, Michał (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)Quine’s idea of semantic interpretations of physical theories is briefly reviewed. Physical theories are ontologically engaged through mathematical structures they employ. In this case, mathematics can be regarded as a longuage of physics. It is noticed that Quine’s semantic interpretations of physical theories can be separated from his radical empiricism. The simplest answer to the question: Why are some mathematical structures so efficient in physical theories is: Because they correctly approximate the structure of the world. These considerations imply a method of interpreting physical theories (or models). As an example Gödel’s idealistic interpretation of his own cosmological model (the one with closed timelike curves) is critically examined.Pozycja „Misericordia pauperum” w nauczaniu Ojców Kościoła (na przykładzie Galii V-VI wieku)Żurek, Antoni (Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 1993)Pozycja Kościół wobec państwa w nauce św.
