Pozycja Metoda transcendentalna jako metoda metafizyki po zwrocie antropologicznymOko, Dariusz (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Zapatrywania socjalne i ekonomiczne św. Tomasza z AkwinuZając, Kazimierz (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Basic thoughts of St. Thomas Aquinas on social and economic problem are presented in the paper. His views on human labour, theory of value and price, theory of labour and wages, monetary theory and theory of interest rate are being discussed. Philosophical system of St. Thomas was declared the official Catholic Church system by Pope Leo XIII in Aeterni Patris, which revitalised neoscholasticism. Aquinas thoughts stemmed from: Christian dogmas and Aristotle’s writings. The place of human labour, connected with his ideas on Man, created as God’s image and likeness was one of Aquinas’s main assumptions. The society must be carefully organized in order to achieve the highest ethic goal. People are equal before God. The differences between them are due only to their activities. They should not have the same share in national income. Following Aristotle, Thomas treated Man as a social creature, bom to live in society. According to his economic thoughts neither wealth nor poverty are good or bad themselves. They are good if they lead to virtue, and bad if they lead to a sin.Pozycja Metafizyczna istota nauki według Martina HeideggeraRożdżeński, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)In 1920s there were suggested two basically different ways of understanding of the essence of science. The first of the suggestions expressed the views of the scientists and philosophers grouped in the so-called Vienna Circle (Wiener Kreis). Their opinion was that science is something completely opposed to metaphysics which is only an imitation of a real cognition. The second suggestion was formed by M. Heidegger. He maintains that science (i.e.all the scientific research) and metaphysics have the same essence, science being in fact a kind of an extension or continuation of metaphysics. Both metaphysics and science are interested exclusively in thingthat- is (Seiende) and are never interested in nonentity which, however, is the original form of being (Sein). This article concisely presents the reason of Heidegger’s opinion.Pozycja Nauka a wartościLubański, Mieczysław (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Critical estimate of contemporary science status, having been performed for many years, seems to manifest a new paradigm to come into being when the old one disappears. Such a transformation of the paradigm may be associated with the origin of cybernetics, systems theory and computer science. It is noticeable especially when concerning the formation of modem cybernetics which is a skill of ruling and organizing all kinds of systems, living as well as inanimate and hybrid ones; it contains in itself cybernetics of progress and development. Thus, it is interested in systems’ development, the very development programme and passion for development too. Modem cybernetics, because of its wide spectrum of an investigation, sets up, without doubt, a plain climate which promotes editing of ideas that express „relation to values” We mean by this more than we only assume an transmit values. We are very particular about such a kind of human knowledge integration which is grounded on linking together propositions - descriptive ones and those expressing evaluation. It is the information that is an intermediary factor here. The value and the description, the value and the statement, the value and the explanation find their proper places in the systemic-informative language of present cybernetics. Everything constitutes connected unity. Every trial of definitive separation of the above mentioned elements does not fit in with the present state of science. Modem cybernetics is like a comer stone for the „state of affairs” which is presented here, and has a well-marked-implication of philosophical and general-inoutlooking nature. This „state of affairs” consists in admitting priority of value system over so-called pure cognition. It is sure that every proclamation in favour of science is the option on a certain value. If the presented proposal is correct, it opens a new perspective for us when concerning the relation between descriptive propositions and those of assessment according to taken values.Pozycja Z dziejów klasztoru Sióstr Maryi Niepokalanej w Branicach (1945-1961)Cincio, Elżbieta (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Archiwalia kościelne jako źródło do opracowania historii parafii. Postawy wobec pobożności ludowej oscylują pomiędzy tolerancją i aprobatą a pogardą ludzi wykształconych. We wnioskach autor postuluje, aby: 1. Otoczyć troską już istniejącą ludową pobożność i tworzyć nową. 2. Pogłębiać religię ludu przez katechezę wprowadzającą w paschalne misterium Chrystusa i Kościoła. 3. Pozycja Od „religii” do „nowych ruchów religijnych”. Dyskusje terminologiczneZwoliński, Andrzej (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)The lack of precise terminology in studies of religion, social sciences and sociology, which can describe the manifestations of human thirst for religious truth, makes it easy for various religious movements, sects and cults to sustain religious ambiguity. Often new religious phenomena are described and their origins and main ideas are presented without the presentation of their true essence. Sects, cults and new religious movements quite arbitrarily take on the names such as „church”, „community”, „society”, „union”, „organization”, „school”, „centre”, „religion”, etc. The difficulties in the aspect of setting the terminology and right definitions describing the „peripheries” of religion make the scientists use interchangeably such terms as: „sect”, „movement”, „ideas”, „attitudes”, „communes” and „religious phenomena” The characteristics of sects are mingled with the features of new coming religious groups which are far from the traditional meaning of the term ‘sect’. Often, instead of using this term, only one aspect of the phenomena is named and more descriptive terms such as „sect activity” or „sect attitude” are used. Since the terms „sect” or „cult” may have pejorative meanings and thus a negative opinion may be suggested, more objective terms such as „new religious movements” are widely used. In order to be called religious, a social movement should fulfil, according to some scientists, two out of three following conditions: 1. Give the answer to the question about the sense of existence and eternal redemption in the course of history or outside it; 2. Take on the belief in the existence of the Absolute beyond and above the world of sensual experience, which can be contacted through prayer or contemplation; 3. Contain rites and rituals manifesting worship, propitiation or requests towards the Absolute and aiming to obtain redemption. Religious movements are called „new” in two senses: a historical one, referring to the movements created after the Second World War and a qualification one, referring to the alternatives towards official and institutional religions and dominating culture. „New religious movements” are often described as: „new religions”, „marginal religions”, „free religious movements”, „alternative religious movements” and (especially in English-speaking countries) „cults” Because of the lack of common and uniform terminology and ambiguity in defining given ideas, Vatican documents are very reluctant to use concrete and defining terms in relation to sects, cults and new religious movements. This is an important principle of each document dealing with these problems. Therefore it is suggested to use concrete material to illustrate the thesis, empirical data, facts and statistics rather than classify given places of the „peripheries of religion.”Pozycja Bibliografia prac profesora Adama Vetulaniego (†1976). Uzupełnienia z lat 1974-1990Uruszczak, Wacław (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Między teorią a praktyką państwową. „Politeja” ArystotelesaZuziak, Władysław (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)The article attempts to present the Aristotelean concept of the State, its nature, constitutional features (political system) and its obligations with respect to citizens. Of specific concern should be politeia, which was called by him the most appropriate system. Politeia is a mixed system created from elements of aristocracy (oligarchy) and democracy. Moderation is a decisive feature of this system. According to Aristoteles politeia realizes in the best way the aim of the State such as happiness of the citizens and is most efficient in assuring stability of the state. Aristoteles avoided declaration of politeia as an ideal, and only righteous system. Being a realist, he takes into account all existing circumstances in which also other systems may be appropriate. However in each case such systems should satisfy certain conditions. From the considerations by Aristoteles, the author of the article reconstructs these conditions of a good system, giving them as a canon being the essential rule of politeia understood broadly as a state political system. These features are: — The aim of the state is happy life of its citizens — To assure efficiency of the system it must be backed by majority of citizens, — In each system the law must be absolutely observed, — Laws must be properly elaborated i.e. not contradictory with the feeling of absolute justice (aplōs) The author notes that the concept by the Greek philosopher despite its annchronism in view of contemporary system crisis is worth reminding. Apart from necessary functions of organization and defense matters it points to the necessity of realization by the state of ethic values — justice, happiness, virtue, friendship and carefulness and such bringing up of the citizens so that these value will be for them valuable and possible to achieve. Do takich faktów socjologicznych należy stare święto żniw, zwane Świętem Tygodni (hebr. Szawuot, gr. Pentecostes), a języku polskim: Zielone Świątki. Zesłanie Ducha Świętego w Zielone Świątki, opisane w Dz 2, i dar języków są procesem jednoczącym zjawisko „wieży Babel”, czyli podziału ludzkości. Fakt ten skomentował Piotr w swoim przepowiadaniu (Dz 2). Zjawisko „socjofonii” możemy zaobserwować przy innych faktach powstającego Kościoła, np. Emaus (Łk 24) czy chrzest Etiopa (Dz 8). „Socjofonia”, czyli socjologiczne ogłoszenie zaistniałego faktu, jest nieodzownym elementem aktualizacji i inkulturacji Biblii, zwłaszcza w sytuacji wzrastającego wciąż znaczenia środków społecznego przekazu. W augustynizmie istnieje symbioza wiary i wiedzy. Pozycja Alasdaira Maclntyre’a krytyka etyki nowożytnej i współczesnejBiesaga, Tadeusz (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)The article reconstructs Alasdair MacIntyre’s critique of modem and contemporary philosophy of morality. This critique, through its confrontation of various modem propositions of the theoiy of morality, reveals that the ethics of autonomous subjects whether in liberalism or in emotivism does not have as its foundations rational explanations of moral conduct, thus leaving us to our irrational impulses of will and emotion. A critical confrontation between modem and ancient ethics discloses why a modem project of moral theory failed. Having taken only fragments of teleological ethics of Aristotle or Aquinas, one could not reach rationality; that’s why, modernity created idiolects understood only within those fragments. When one does not have any rationality, one should draw from the rationality of Aristotle and Aquinas and develop it creatively. The rationality of such an ethics emphasises a necessity of the theory of virtue in philosophy and practice of morality. Omitting this essential element from modem and contemporary philosophy of morality makes ethics be formulated as a theory of egoism and, opposite to it, theory of conventional laws. In the social field this is realised as techniques manipulating others by a therapist and manager-expert of effectiveness.Pozycja Elementy patrylogiiSzczurek, Jan Daniel (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Światłość nicości.
